Ford GT Tuning (speed)

i already have ProStreet on my PS2.., and i can tell you one thing: it sucks. the graphics suck, the gameplay sucks.., even though I finished it 100%, it still sucks.., I like Carbon better.., why? it has better graphics and, because of the canyon stages.., :D:tup:

Pro Street got neutered on PS2.

PC, X360 or PS3 is the only way to go with it.

PS2 hasn't got the power for it.

Yeah, that's way, way different. You probably need a full-fledged race car to compete in GTWC. Unless you use the most power possible on the Ford GT (and you must put racing tires on!), it is quite an unlikely candidate for that set of races. People have trouble with it even in a car equal to the best AI car. So do you have any Le Mans cars at your disposal? Those would work much better, obviously.
Audi R8. R2 tires. Don't make my mistake and run with R3's. I lost by 17 points!

No, I don't suck that badly, I made some bonehead moves early in the series (first 5 races) 'cause I saw it was only 10 points. Trust me, it should be worth more because you lose a great deal with R3's late in the races.
And Most Wanted had better features than Carbon, yet that's in my obsolete pile, as will Pro Street be soon. :P

I love Most Wanted and continue to love it. Nothing like Heat Level 5 and a stock Cobalt

Oh jeez... yeah the GTWC is a whole different ballgame than the Supercar Fest (which is not nearly as challenging as i'd thought it would be).

Sorry man, come to think of it, i just wasted about $250,000,00..

Thanks for the advice on the R8

If you'd like to un-do that set-back, then go and enter the the Capri Rally (easy) with that GT, and if your good enough, you can get double that in under 10 mins :sly:

Fastest way to get $250+ grand that I know of in GT4 👍

Regardless, I have worked up an S3 tyred tune for the Ford GT '05 if you're still wanting one, M5_Power.

You have to be aware that she's an MR putting over 550HP through non-race rubber but she's quite driveable if you keep that in mind. I set her up for Infineon (getting laps in the 1'32 - 1'33 range), so on flatter tracks she'll probably be quite well behaved ... maybe .

i wsh EA would combine the graphics of Most Wanted, customization options of Carbon, and the list of cars on ProStreet, and that they would make illegal street races again (don't forget the canyons :D) man, that would be one wicked NFS game!

as for the thread, which car is "preferable" for the GTWC? i think i may want to try it out..,

The Ford GT is my favorite car. As soon as a broke through 25%(finished all the Beginning and Professional races, I immediately found every race that offeref a racing version as the prize and got them. I love the 69 GT40 for nostalgia alone, if I can ever get into tuning I'll make one with the modern powerplant. I spent days and days fiddling with settings to make it competitive because Gran Turismo has seriously bagged on this car. REading reviews of actual owners of the real car They handle a lot better than the game allows no surprise as they seem to favor the Skyline among other imports. I found a gamesave that also had all three of these cars and all were set up like this which was pretty darn close to what I had settled on but I must admit better:

Front REar

Spring Rate: 7.0 8.8
Height: 67 76
Bound 3 4
Rebound 6 8
Camber 2.4 1.5
Toe -1 -1
Stabilizers 3 5
Down Force 38 53
Stage 3 Tuning
Limited Slip Differential:
Torque 25
Accel 50
Decel 40

Give it a try and see how it works for you, you can even give it looser spring rates. I found this car hates stiff springs. I watched it on replays with stiff springs and it was funny to watch the way it bounced around.

Tha'ts been my experience too in gT2, GT3 and GT4: the GT40s dont' do well with stiff settings unless the track is mirror-smooth.

I wanna try your settings...i can already see what you're trying to accomplish with them.

I love everything about the car expect for the way it brakes.

During a 60 A-spec race with that car, there are some points where you need to "push", by which i mean braking harder at corners, at the cost of the tires, but the problem I am having I need to brake way before the corner.
I tired alot with the tuning but cant seem to get it right.
any advice? anyone?
