Can Bottas win today and prevent Hamilton taking the championship in the USA?

Formula1 don't think so

This tweet could old very badly

On the other hand, even if Bottas wins and Lewis gets involved in an incident through t1 and pits early, he can still climb up to 7th, no problem IMO.

The bit I like most about that picture is the camouflaged traffic cone.

--------

Race starts in half an hour, yes? With various timezones putting their clocks back during different weekends I've lost track.

That's deep cover. Correct, ~24 minutes until the start of the race.

Bumps are fine, the mountains that we saw on Friday aren't.

This is why I believe Sebring desperately needs resurfacing too, but that's for another thread.

Edit: What is with this awful rendition of the US national anthem?

Just play the instrumental.

Red Bull replaced Verstappen's rear wing on the grid because of a cracked end plate. Should be fine now.

Great overtake by Lewis on Sebastian. Max also a very good start. Lando!!!!

How many times will they mention that this is Lando Norris' last race as a teenager?

Ferrari is just lacking so much pace. Vettel might have a problem, but Leclerc also has a 6 second gap ahead of him already.

That's the result of that 'never happened change of the 'fuel power boost mode'?

That start was cleaner than I expected.
Unfortunately it usually is...

I don't mean to say I want to see anyone get hurt, but the start is when you usually expect to see some mayhem due to the close proximity of open wheel cars

It seems like the Ferraris are having trouble managing their tires. They should try the softer tires?

Did well not to completely stack it!

Ferrari veto might get that track resurfaced now.

Wow, massive suspension failure.

Wow, that was quite the failure. Such a shame for Seb and Ferrari.

That was a murder. Even the fly-past sidled by looking embarrassed. Crap opener.

I muted it after the first note but now feel sorry I didn't listen to it

Kimi had a fantastic start to the race so far, 17th to 9th.

Ferrari are blaming the new kerb at turn 8 for the suspension failure, it seems. I said that new bit was a crap idea.

Something must have been wrong with the suspension from the very start. Vettel had no pace.

Ferrari seems to be a complete fodder in this race! During the free practices, they were saying they had the car to win and now it looks like they are not in the race at all!

Surprising lack of pace from Leclerc.

Good to see Ricciardo in the top 5, but c'mon McLaren!

He took a little hop over the apex of turn 12 when he was side by side with Leclerc at the start. Maybe that did some damage.
