Congratulations Lewis. 6th title and deservedly on his way to making the argument he is the GOAT a little bit harder to deny.

Bottas deserved that victory though and I'm glad he won, but happy Lewis has the title sorted. He was the best driver this season and it's tough to deny him that.

He might have the best car, but still a well deserved 6th WDC for Lewis
Definitely one of the luckiest F1 drivers imo. But you can’t argue with numbers. I believe there are better drivers out there, but his name is what will be in the history books

Congrats to Bottas and Hamilton. Decent midfield scraps here and there, with a solid recovery by Albon.

fakeedit: Did Kvyat just pull another last lap Kvyat?

Bore off lad.

No other driver in livery memory could take on and beat reigning double world champion and prime Alsono in their rookie season
Ugh not this one again. Look. The guy got 6. Celebrate that. The 2007 argument has an infinite number of holes in it

He raced people when he needed to, he was fast when he needed to, and had a knack of being in the right place at the right time when he needed to.

The best driver of all time argument will always rage, but we can't discount the achievement here.

Six time champ, the reason I started watching F1 properly. Nice job.

Congrats to Bottas for the win and Lewis on the 'chip.

You can roll your eyes all you want. In another words, Lewis may be a great racer and undeniably well within the top 10 of the modern era... but that reddit post lays credence to his lack of emotional maturity. I expect that out of Max... not a 6-time WDC and hall of Famer.

He should be fully grown both as a driver and a team leader. Constantly questioning a proven team, awesome team boss and a world class strategist isn't.

Man, it is so hard being a Haas fan this season. I really hope they sort their issues out and come back as an actual midfield contender in 2020. Congratulations to Lewis, quite an achievement.

you always have the Netflix show to look forward to

*that reddit post*

That was one of F1’s most respected journalists, actually.

What Reddit post are you guys referring to?

Edit: nvm got it

Edit 2: Can't they give directions to the guys handing out the trophies?

Congrats to Lewis! With those numbers, you just can't deny his stats. The guy has talent, he has the drive and most of all, he is super consistent and I for one think that's one of the main requirement needed to be WDC. Well deserved for him!

I can't wait to see what other records he'll break in the coming seasons!

Simon Lazenby just asked for Nico Rosberg's take on Lewis' 6th title.

You could imagine Nico holding back from saying "Haha, it's not 7"

2018 post-contract extension Bottas was not great and didn't really show why Mercedes had re-hired him.

2019 post-contract extension Bottas has stepped his game back up and is justifying that decision to take him over Ocon.
