Who will win the Driver's Championship?

This is akin to the green-white-checkered in NASCAR... for the championship.

But, I doubt they'll get it cleared up.
I don't think they will go the NASCAR route and guarantee finish a race under green.

Red Bull had nothing to lose by pitting but there's a chance that this is the end of the race. Not enough time to rejigger the grid.

Looked to me that Mercedes were preparing for a pit stop before deciding to leave Hamilton out on track. Considering that Max pitted during this time, I can understand why Lewis would be unhappy with their call...

PEREZ IS RETIRING! That's Red Bull's Constructor's challenge done for, then.

Perez retires, Mercedes championship clinched.

No lapped cars will overtake. That could be pivotal.

So what will the conspiracy theorists make of the Mercedes-engined car either ending the race or giving Verstappen the win?
This entire off season is going to be tinfoil hats and slapping asterisks on everything to claim it should have gone this way, but they wanted it to go that way.

Does Latifi have a Dutch grandmother?

Lapped cars will not be allowed to overtake, so Verstappen will be nowhere near Hamilton at the restart :indiff:

This lapped cars not unlapping is such an odd decision when we haven't had this before... Max is screwed.
