Nice dicing between Hamilton and the Force Indias. Faster car versus faster tire. Car wins.

More bad news for Merc this weekend... Bottas may have jumped that start.

What?

Reaction time too quick?

What the hell does that mean?

Too me it is simple did you jump before the lights went out.

Yes or No.

Predicting the lights going out should not be seen as a jump start.

As it is a gamble, you get it right or wrong.

But it does seem that Vettel is just sour.

Daniil Maldonado? Pastor Kvyat?

Could be a complete new set of drivers for STR next year. What a tool.

Seems like that Max already had an issue with his car at the start.

Also.

Kimi on the radio isn't the Iceman he used to be.

Sky are so annoying... Bottas had a .201 reaction time. That's not a jump start imo. Sounds like the perfect start.

Shame to see Alonso and Max out too.

Looks like a perfect start from Bottas.

The Fox/Sky Broadcast notes that his tire starts moving in the exact same frame that the green light goes on.

Could be a perfect start or a possible "anticipated start", but as we're going on fourteen laps with no word on a penalty... it seems like the stewards are still undecided.

Bottas being told to gain a bigger gap just in case he's given a five second penalty.

Depending on what they count as a 'reaction time', cause it's not exactly elite athlete exceptional https://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime

Max his clutch was already ****ed before the race started. :banghead:

Edit.

At least he is calm and only a bit disappointed.

As far as I can tell, there is no 'green light' reaction time metric in F1 - it's not drag racing.

Alonso managed 0.08s in Sochi last year. 0.2s is a slug by comparison.

I watched Bottas' start frame by frame and he was definitely moving before the lights went out, I'm not sure where they got 0.2s from, is it counted from when you leave your grid spot?

Looked the same in the slow-mo from Sky's broadcast, he moved before the light went completely out. We'll see.

The lights going out can be seen as a green light can it not?

But if he took off the start box 0.01 seconds after the lights go out, is that "Too Quick"?

The FIA seem to focus on some stupid regulations, rather than focus on harsh penalties for dangerous driving.

What? If he had moved before the lights went out he would have gotten a penalty already. That would be easy to spot.
