Indeed, when one of their drivers is having a bad day (we all have them), the other one needs to get the most points possible...

Bottas has shown he can generate the one lap pace in qualifying, but he has never shown any aptitude for wheel to wheel racing. And under pressure, it gets worse.

Mercedes might want to keep a clear number two to avoid friction as with Hamilton-Rosberg, but they need their number two to actually deliver.

Totto Wolf surprisingly calm about Bottas' mistake in the interview. Bottas' firing moved back half a race.

Indeed, he’s been carried I think this season by the car and by Lewis not getting quite on top of it at the start of the season.

The problem is they can’t just replace him, Ocon I don’t think is fast enough and then who else?

What the hell does Anthony Davidson have on his legs?

I'm away from the TV now... but is it lederhosen?

Happy 125th birthday Mercedes.

I said to Mrs. Ten before the race that they shouldn't have dressed in their celebratory 1950s gear for the race. It's tempting fate to make them look like utter dicks when they finish broken/last. They did both.

This is a good time to remind the world that epicaricacy is the English word for schadenfreude.

Not exactly. It looks like brown velvet but there's a bit flap with two buttons on the front instead of a conventional zipper.

Toto firing shots regarding the livery "celebrating old stories". Did I listen to it correctly?
Yes.

I think it’s a shame because it’s been a cool celebration, like when Red Bull did the special race suits for the first Red Bull Ring race etc... rather than just corporate livery changes was cool to celebrate some actual racing history.

But yeah, he didn’t think it was time we’ll spent

There are obviously clear instructions from Liberty that when the crowd starts cheering an incident or an overtake, the audio engineer is to crank the audience channel to 11.
Should be standard at all races. It all comes alive in those moments.

Lederhosen don't have a zipper. Are they like this? (sorry, my stock collection of F1 lederhosen is a little light :) )

Toto admitted they’ve fooled around too much this weekend.

Yea, that's it but I thought lederhosen included the overalls too.

It refers to the trouser part (the hose), the upper can be braces or a buttoned top. Longer versions are sometimes called bundhosen (regionally dependent).

I think Leclerc said it after he went off, but it was censored.

Leclerc's quote was one long beep, I guess I'll have to wait for the uncensored version :)

A few observations:
Toto was wearing a tie AND suspenders over his racing suit. The fashion police gods did not like that and thus Mercedes sputtered today.

Gasly has to be on his final chances at Red Bull after smacking into Albion. Right?
