Since it's a timed race now, how many more laps need to be run to ensure that if less than 10 cars finish, they would score points?
 
See what happens when they race in actually tricky conditions? They have to earn that best drivers in the world accolade. Lots of spills and spins today making for a much more exciting race.
 
It's not often that a driver has his best and worst ever races in the same season, Verstappen is really pulling off something special this year.

46 laps (75%) should do it, if memory serves me right.
That's 75% of scheduled distance. Since they don't have the lap counter up we don't know what lap they are on now.

Edit: They are now on lap 43 at 10:44 ET.

Leclerc is just inching his way towards Perez now.

Edit: ooooh huge lockup from Perez. That can't be good.

Hooray! Stewards investigation following the race. Definitely not a damper on this battle.
 
Honestly Leclerc needs to stop pushing or he's going to crash trying to catch up a race he's lost.
