I wonder what the Rally Fighter is.

They seem to be doubling down on the rally-oriented-ness this time. A spinoff franchise dedicated to both street driving/racing and rally?

I just hope pounding dirt doesn't amount to a bunch of races where you trundle along in a straight line, taking checkpoints as the crow flies.

Well there are no rally events as such, but they are implementing "Cross Country Races" and "Hill Climb" events which as you say, hopefully provide a bit more substance than just full throttling it through a vineyard :D (which isn't bad either :embarrassed:)

At 2.22, theres a bit of gameplay from what seems to be a cross country race, if that's worth anything.

No surprises in that list shawtyoner posted, although I'm happy to see the BRZ return as an alternative to the grumpy-faced GT86.

So the reveal of this week's cars makes me sad I won't be able to make this a Day One purchase. I'd buy it for the 360 but if I get a ONE for X-Mas I'd wouldn't mind waiting for 3 months.
