Hopefully the parking lots will be modelled properly, so that they don't retain the gravity/slope data of the landscape that originally existed before the 3D mesh was flattened for the pavement.

At least, that's my theory on what happened in FH1, for the popular "hellaflush/lowrider" spots that also resulted in surreal vehicle behavior.

So, from one end of the green line to the other is 10.8 miles

How does this compare to the original map? And how does it compare to others?
10 miles is quite small really but oh well at least its larger than H1.

Wait is that the full map or a section of the map? Hard to tell from that pic.

This might help put it into perspective a little. This is Oahu in TDU2. This is a cruise from one section of the map to the other and its over 36 miles. This is not even the longest part of the island.

As long as it feels more dense I will be a happy bunny

Cheers for some great info

This.

Oahu was great (back on 2006 I was amazed of the size of that thing) but it was mostly a big bunch of nothingness. A lot of roads yes, but I felt I was driving in the same place all the time. Also, a big chunk of the map was undriveable, since they were mountains. Even Honolulu was quite small compared to its real life counterpart.

I can think of many places I remember, but all things considered, I could fit them in a map half the size of Oahu. I have to agree, it was great to cross the island or doing a lap arround it, but you can just do 3 laps to FH2 map and it's basically the same thing, even though you're going back to where you were one lap ago.

Colorado in FH was small, yes, but it felt very diverse, so now with FH2 I'm happy, more places, more roads, but more things to see, apart from roads and trees.

90% of Oahu went by me at 180-200+, the only reason I even drove down every road was to discover them.

Most people stayed in certain areas online and unlike TDU driving offroad in Horizon 2 won't be completely useless.

If TDU is the kind of game you're looking for I would recommend checking out The Crew.

Has there been any more news on the preorder cars? Are they exclusive to each retailer or just a version in a special paint scheme?

Also, amazed there isn't a collector's edition.
