A color I just learned is called Techno Violet, from BMW. I saw it at the "Cars that look best in odd colors" thread. I loved this color on the E36 BMW on Shift 2

EDIT: Also, lower on that thread, this other BMW color: Lila Metallic

Um, I did that color. Just saying.
Sorry, it's not like I know who does what around here. You said yesterday that 'I believe you are thinking of McLaren and Mercedes-Benz' Mauritius Blue. I guess BMW has a color with that name, too. You can go ahead and do it.'

Mauritius Blue is under BMW as well and it's the one that @Mitcho2001 did.

The values for that one are as follows:

Base: 0.63 L, 0.50 L, 0.20 L
Flake: 0.61 L, 0.68 L, 0.35 R.

So in this case you're right about what you did, but wrong about the BMW color. Go take a look at the chart because it's there under BMW. I checked because I was going to do it myself today and found it was already there, and looked at the values in game and the one that @Mitcho2001 did was accurate so I left it alone. He even said on February 28th that it was on his list of colors to redo, but it doesn't need to be redone because it's accurate already.

Sorry. I hadn't even checked the chart for a BMW version. I assumed that version hadn't been done. The only frame of reference I had was my Mercedes/McLaren version, I got confused about which version you were referring to. Talking about the BMW version, is it accurate? BMW was one of the manufacturers @Mitcho2001 focused on before this thread got started, and, as we've established, the majority of those colors are now inaccurate. I know that now is not the best time to check the accuracy of colors given that it's winter, but it might not even be accurate. I'll apply the values you mentioned to a car and do a race in the summer to check the accuracy of the color. I'll report back here, and if they need fixing, like I said yesterday, you can go ahead and fix them.

Yes, it’s accurate I’m happy to report :) I checked it in game myself earlier when I did those other two colors and it looks right to me :) You can check in Summer and tell me what you think as well and we’ll go from there, but as far as I can tell it looks right and accurate :)

Yeah, it looks mostly accurate to me as well. It may or may not need a refresh if you know what I am saying, a slight adjustment, but it's probably fine how it is.

Fantastic work you guys been doing for the past 2 years, probably 70% of all my cars in forza are custom painted by this site.

Now all that aside, i want to request a color:

Mercedes Iridium Silver Metallic

IMG_2499_zpsugks48li.jpg

Now, i know Designo Magno Iridium Silver is on the color sheet, lovely color, but this is the metallic version of it,as you can see. I tried replicating it but i couldn't come even close, i used metal flake since it was the best option but it mine looks too dull, plus the fact that is winter in forza currently so 80% of the time the enviroment lighting is too dark, making my work impossible.
So maybe someone more skilled can make this, i would appreciate that.

Hey guys! Talking about Mercs. Can someone replicate this ELBAITE GREEN METALLIC A45?
Cheers!

Next time I post here with colors, most likely today or tomorrow, these will both be included.

I just want to show how fantastically good Iridium Silver Magno looks in the game, pretty much every designo magno paint fits a mercedes such as this one.

Correct me if i am wrong, but this one was made by MadaraxUchiha, to whom i dedicate this poster i made a couple hours ago, as a thank you getting this color in the game, truly stunning looks right here

I love Madeira Metallic on the Jaguar XJ220 in GT2, could I get that one?

I looked up on the "paintref" website, there are two instances I found of it, both are mispelled. One is "Maderia Maroon" in 1998, the other "Medeira Maroon" in 1999.
On autocolorlibrary, there's "Medeira Marron Met." in 1999.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Madeira. It means "wood" in my language, and probably a few others too.

Though I'd help a bit.

Thank you lad :) That was very kind of you. I did indeed make the Designo Magno Iridium Silver that’s on the chart here :) I made it on November 17th last year, and I’m really glad to see that it’s getting use and someone loved it :) I’m really glad you enjoy it and I love that poster too :D For a minute there I thought the poster was a real life photo and I wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t pointed it out :embarrassed: Amazing work :) We do the things we do here for people like you, people who love our work and put the colors to good use :) It encourages me to make more colors and to always do my very best and give it 110 % :)

I did something, i was fooling around and decided to paint my porsche macan mamba green, i put it on and it looked kinda dull compared to real photos, so i did my own version of it.

Firstly, this is the original by Madara:

Test 2.png

Its pretty good looking, but i think it needs little more of a contrast and shine to it, so i did this:

Test 1.png

What i did there is change the metal flake for two-tone polished and fine tune, i added more of a yellowish tone to the highlight, referring to real life photos of this color, and darkened the base a little, as well as saturating everything a little.

I encourage anyone to edit this to make it as exact as posible, i only did this very quickly so its far from perfect and probably more experienced people can retouch it, i only corrected the first version.

Here is the color: Mamba Green Metallic

Two-Tone Polished:

Base: 0.20R - 0.69L - 0.93L

Highlight: 0.38L - 0.73R - 0.76L

The reference picture I used wasn’t as saturated as that one which is why the version I did looks different :( Yours looks a lot better, though.
