For most colors, the flake is simply the brighter areas of the paint. For example, the base color on this C8 Corvette I saw back in September can best be seen on the front bumper and at the bottom of the the front fender. The flake is seen in the area between the headlight and the fender.

The base color is usually darker, and the flake color is usually brighter and more vivid.

Thanks, i am trying to extract the Rosso Competizione from the ingame C8, but it is rather difficult. The one on the sheet does not look the same so i am trying to get it right.

I don't know what you mean by "the Rosso Competizione from the in-game C8." The C8 Corvette has no color called Rosso Competizione. The only car I know of with a color by that name is the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Since I am assuming you are referring to the Alfa Romeo color, that is one that @Mitcho2001 still needs to redo. You can do it yourself if you want, but I would recommend waiting for @Mitcho2001 to post his version. The other thing you absolutely need to remember is that the versions of the colors the game developers make are nowhere near as accurate as the color we make here. You can try to match the version of Rosso Competizione from the Giulia if you want, but I would again recommend waiting for @Mitcho2001 to post his version that is much more accurate to how the color looks in real life.

Every color I've ever made has been derived using this exact website. It is still perfectly accurate.

Just to be clear as to what the website is doing by the way - it samples the RGB colour of the pixel you click on, converts to HSL, then simply converts the hue, saturation and lightness values from value ranges of 360, 256, and 256 respectively to Forza's value range. It's relatively simple maths and so can't be inaccurate (unlike a GTA V for example where there's actual modification of the colour involved to make the game look like the real thing).

No, I mean both. Flint Grey Metallic is a Mercedes-Benz color and also the name of an unrelated Nissan color used on the Nissan Pathfinder, and another Nissan color called Flint Grey Metallic that was used on the Nissan Atlas. KAF is the paint code used on the Pathfinder version. So, all three colors are on the chart. There’s no error here lol

Usually, with manufacturers that use non-English names for their paint colors, I do the same when adding those colors to the spreadsheet. On this occasion, I will be doing the opposite. Arrinera uses Polish names for their paint colors. I feel like most people know what "rosso" or "schwartz" or "verde" mean in English, but Polish is a completely different ball game. For these colors, I will be putting the English names in the Color Name column and the Polish name in the Notes column.

You can't tint any of the steel materials, so, in most cases, some form of aluminum material is preferable.
