Forza Horizon 4 Expansion 'Fortune Island' Releases December 13

There is one on the main board that does not exist, I swear. I have gone in circles on the spot where it is supposed to be, not there. Not in a tree...

I got them all on the main map, but I cheated for the last few and it spoiled it a bit.

Do you mean you've got one that shows up in blue on your map? Or doesn't show up on your map?

Apart from
the ones under bridges
I can't think of any that could be confusing like that.

I believe the one you're talking about is in the train tunnel, underneath the tree in question.

Overall, I'm pleased with the expansion itself. I like the preset road courses that Playground Games made this time round, they feel more like proper and fun racing circuits. I can't wait to start making my own routes with these roads. The offroad races are quite fun aswell and I enjoy the addition of some FM4/FH1 resurrected cars. Though I still think the Aventador J was a waste; I would've preferred the SVJ if they really were hard-set on adding another Aventador. The lighting effects during thunderstorms are incredibile along with the aurora effects for night races, the visuals just look plain amazing!

I also like that they added a treasure hunt, I had some fun looking for the chests. Though I think they could've made the riddles a bit more difficult, I really only had trouble on the final chest. That was just because the chest was in a hard to reach area that required relying on the rewind and an offroad car to do so.

My only gripes with the expansion are the extreme thunderstorms and intense solar storms every night. I appreciate the eye candy but less would have been more special if these effects weren't full blown every so often. I would also have preferred if the expansion came with more cars to my taste. The next four weeks of Car Pass content are superior to most cars in this expansion.

The map, routes and events are in my opinion better than most things on the main map. Overall a very enjoyable expansion. Just one barn find and one purchasable property would have been nice though.

No bridge anywhere near this as I recall, out in the middle of a field of trees...will check again.

When I fast travel to it, I land just short of a danger sign jump thing. Surrounded by field and trees.

Yep, that's the one in the tunnel. Had me stumped for ages until I read a guide on all the influence board locations and found it I needed to go in the tunnel.

Personal opinion time: the Needle Point drift zone is better/more fun than the whole Fujimi Kaido.

I like Needle Point, but man does it feel like I perpetually have no grip when I'm actually driving it, haha. Feels like I'm fighting the car around every corner. Maybe I'm just taking it too fast.

I feel the same. It's fun enough to drift on but actually racing on it has been a pain, especially as a hill climb.

Maybe that road just has lower grip, considering its janky condition.

I was wondering about that - because it looks like asphalt, but really dilapidated asphalt. Make me wonder if the surface is treated by the game as halfway to a "dirt" track or something, but I won't pretend to have any idea how the game handles that stuff.

Thank you. It feels like the entire road has less grip than the rest of the island to me, and when racing on it the drivatars seem unaffected. I'm driving a grip tuned 4WD McLaren 720S PO Edition (which, unless I'm mistaken, is one of the grippiest cars in the game) and the drivatars in their range of supercars (Lambos etc.) are just walking all over me even on the regular AI difficulty setting. I would blame my driving but when I'm able to get into the top 200 on most speed traps and speed zones in the same car it kind of feels like I should at least be able to keep up with regular AI.

It IS very good for drifting though, and I'm loving the fact it's one long drift zone.

I'm not struggling QUITE that much - I play on Pro and still win races on courses including that road - but it's definitely a bit of an ugly line through that stretch for me.

I managed to finish in 1st eventually but like you it was an ugly line through that section of road!

Sounds like the perfect road for me then. I'm so over this game's obsession with powerbuilds and supercars, so anything that requires a bit of skill and ekeing out the most of the surface conditions is exactly what I wish the main game was like.

Overall, I really like this expansion. I wish the riddles were more difficult or they at least didn’t give you the general location of the chest on the map. It was an easy 10 million credits, which is great and all, but there was no satisfaction in finding the chests. Make it an actual treasure hunt and let players team up to solve it. Hell, make one so hard it gets the whole community talking about it and finding that one feels like an accomplishment.

I can see this expansion becoming "Drift Island" amongst the Forza community; plenty of good roads for some sideways action.

I know, right? I am loving this, feels like any hillclimb in the Italian CIVM. Will have to take a Radical up there soon!

The 2009 ZR-1 for me is the car for the Needle Point races. Huge torque and mechanical grip, plus it's easy to correct when the tail goes out.

I really enjoy the fact it feels a bit slippier on that part of the map. In something like a Cayman GT4 it's perfectly manageable, but as you climb up the performance ranks it gets harder and harder, as it should be.

AWD power builds are even better on slipperier roads.

I've had far better success against the AI on that "drift" road with full power builds than full grip.
