Forza has really spoiled me when it comes to its sky boxes. Seriously that vid was gorgeous. Nowadays when I see other games' sky boxes, they look like a cartoon to me. Yuck!

But I can't imagination how expensive it must be to do it. :\

I too am impressed with the work that went into this game, the graphics, the 4k realism.

Launch day + 3 now and I have to admit, while my initial impression of FI wasn’t as excited as BM 2 years ago, after a couple of days the island starts to grow on me. I have now completed all things to do except e bonus boards, half Drift Club 2.0 and the majority of the rivals events. But I have to say there are some decent races in there.

I also took a trip around the island with The Leviathan race in all 4 seasons at early afternoon and clear sky. Summer looks more lush than the barren ground we have now so next week should be better. And winter does have that Blizzard Mountain vibe so that’s also great. Spring and autumn for sure are the most boring seasons on the island.

Talking about The Leviathan, does anyone else like this race so much? I have to admit, in those modern Hoonigan Focus/Fiesta RX cars this has got to be hands down my all-time favourite race in any Horizon game. It’s truly a stunning scenic route around the island including the cliffside road and the switchback downhill. Also in the first part of the race there are some really fun high speed gravel roads with fun corners in the first mountainous section. And it’s overall a mixed surface race giving it a proper rallycross feeling. Will give it a try in some group B rally Monsters as well the next days.

The ruins are the sunken houses in the big lake-looking thing. The Morgan challenge is to hit a danger sign just a tiny bit south west of that area. I think the road goes straight directly south which is a good giveaway on the map.

Cant get one star on Needle 458 drift, I am terrible at drifting, using wheel etc. I will get it eventually maybe, but with the wheel I just cant.

And still havent found the one up by Needle Climb, searched and searched.

Trying the other 458 now. Italia. Finally got one star, now the impossible task of finding, i have 3 I havent found yet but that is the fun part.

After I have bought a "tune" and installed, how do I go BACK to the original tune that came with the car?

This is where I have bought a tune that someone else did.

Bought 458 Italia, cant drift in it for crap so I bought a tune, now it is worse.

The quickest possible way is to go to the pause menu, go to the Cars tab, and click Tune Car. It'll tell you that the tune is locked and that to proceed you'll have to remove it. If you confirm that it'll reset the car to stock.

More roads, more readily accessible offroad areas, and more events and distractions. There's big patches of the map with the new expansion that's either taken up by mountains and cliffs, like the entire northwestern part of the map, or are just completely out of the way from the road, like the little islands down south, and aren't made use of in any meaningful way.

Dunno about anyone else, but I'm really enjoying Fortune Island. Ok it could have been a bit bigger, it is a tad on the small side but it does have some really nice roads and events. I love the big switchback road, and have been trying all kinds of obscure drift cars. I believe I am currently 2nd in the GTP crew with a Dodge Dart of all things lol

I care more about the quality of the roads and courses than the sheer size of the map, and on that front, FI delivers well.

Now they just need to create a separate hopper for Fortune Island online adventure, so people can actually play those courses in multiplayer. It'll be a shame if 95% of the player base only ever gets to drive that cliffside road against drivatars.

A bunch of people are asking for this on the official forums, so hopefully PG gives it to us.

My guess is they are holding off on adding Adventure to FI for now, as they have said they are working to overhaul Adventure mode, and maybe they are waiting until that overhaul is ready to add Adventure mode to FI.

It would be nice if in summer time the sea level would be a meter lower so those islands in the south all become part of the main land.

Finding treasures is getting to be something, for me. I have the treasure map but dont want to use it. I look at the pics of where they are and you would think that would be helpful...isnt for me sadly.

But I dont mind continuing to look. I just hope there isnt a time frame on it, I know on the other side I have all but one barn find and that barn is no longer an option to find.

It’s still an option. That barn find does not pop up automatically, you have to buy one of the castles to unlock it. There’s no time frame for either.

If you're struggling you might find it easier at night. I've noticed the chests actually glow in the dark, whereas during the day they blend in more.

I don’t what specific HUD item it was, but I had all HUD items off except the minimap, since I don’t really like the constant pop-ups on my screen, but having the HUD off would prevent the solved riddle message from appearing thus not allowing the video to trigger showing the treasure location on the map.

Drone is tough for me as I use a wheel and all I can get the drone to do is go up about 5 feet then move left to right, I guess I could get out of my chair and turn the wheel off and use the controller once in a while.

Unless you go into the settings and manually turn of the HUD then you don't need to worry.

Easier at night? Thanks. Noticed one of the times I found a treasure box there was a flag on a pole or something, tree, something. That is how I knew it was there.

The treasure chest is also surrounded by 4 painted wooden circular shields that also glow at night. That should help a bit in finding them.

The pictures help a lot for finding the Treasure Chests I reckon they could've done away with circling an area of map, because there's usually a landmark in each picture.

There's one influence board still eluding me. It's starting to wind me up a bit, but I don't want to cheat! It'll be nice when I finally find it

There is one on the main board that does not exist, I swear. I have gone in circles on the spot where it is supposed to be, not there. Not in a tree...
