That screenshot is on the Fortune Island map. Maybe something related to DLC? Updates to the existing expansions? A third Expansion to help hold us over for the extended wait before a new game releases? Guess we will find out tomorrow.

That image makes me think they are doing something huge with this update.

Temper your expectations guys... We should focus mainly on the cars that are coming. Anything else that pops up we should let those be surprises. We shouldn't expect anything else. ;)

They used this Fortune Island screenshot because it vaguely resembles Australia under those light conditions, underpinning the theme behind the car hints. At least that’s what it looks like without letting expectations run wild.

Might have a fair point. Looking back through the Forza Horizon twitter they used a screenshot from Fortune Island in the announcement tweet for the Series 24 update Stream.
Then again they have hidden subtle clues towards upcoming content before. In there streams when they asked what games the devs were playing they made a point to name Battle Royal games for a few months to act as a subtle tease for the Eliminator.
Still with the next Forza game still so far away I'd like to see something big to revitalize the game for us. I find myself spending less time in the game outside of doing the weekly seasonals.

I've seen speculation that one of the updates to S25 will allow you to play Eliminator on Fortune Island.

I'm not a fan of Eliminator so I don't want this speculation to be true if possible, but it may be the right speculation.
Assuming this is true, I just hope they don't add a new exclusive car to the Eliminator.

It'd be way too small for the eliminator IMO. I think we'll be getting 3 Holdens and that's probably it.

I'm still enjoying the game, but my focus right now is completing the star card. I finished the painter and photographer part of the creative card. Now slogging through the route creator and tuner parts. This is going to take me months.

Does someone have a list of the "discoverable areas" in FH4? Not the beauty spots, but just the discoverable areas. I believe there are 25. I want to do some photography based on that theme, but no one seems to have a list of the areas.

Someone on Reddit did not believe that I could identify the tire compound by looking at the tread pattern, so I put together this handy picture guide of what the different tire compounds look like.

There's always the moment of dread in the race loading screen, where the camera pans around the front corner of your car, and you see the tyres and think "Oh balls, I'm on race tyres for this rally event"

Forza monthly just discussed the Series X update. Pretty much on par with max settings on PC, 4K 60FPS, and faster loading with the Series X SSD.
An SSD will certainly help compared to current Xbox, as using a USB SSD helps a lot with the current consoles, so much so that I'd argue everyone should be using one and just consider it part of the price of the game.

But what puzzles me about the game at the moment is how long it takes to run up on a PC with NVMe SSD. I ran the game up on my PC while looking at task manager, and there is close to zero disk activity throughout. I have it on an NVMe SSD that can deliver 3500MB/s, and it only reads from it for just a few seconds right at the end of the process of running up. Most of the time it's using 100% CPU of a single core, but I have no idea what it's doing throughout all that time. So an 8 core CPU won't speed it up because it's only using one core, and a faster SSD won't speed it up, because it only spends a few seconds reading from it anyway. So I'd expect the Series X to help the same things that are currently helped by using a USB SSD (and that does help initial running up to some extent), but I can't see the initial running up time coming down much compared to a current PC, because it doesn't seem like SSD access accounts for more than a few seconds of it.

And to think that for two years people have been asking for a simple indicator symbol to show the tyres, in ALL seasons, like it does in winter. But like many of the other very simple requests from the community, it's fallen on deaf ears.

They could lop ~30 seconds off the loading time by ditching the unskippable splash screens. No SSD needed. I've also looked at task manager during this time and very little is actually happening.

I really don't get the "Welcome Pack" nonsense... the cars are pre-tuned for the most part, but not in a way that makes them any different than how we're able to tune/build them, like the PO cars are. No special perks are attached to them either. Seems like a waste of space to me.

The more I think about it the more it doesn't make sense. Progression is so fast and the AI changes performance based on your car. I hope it works for whatever they are trying with it but it seems pointless.

Edit: On the other hand it obviously isn't for me.
