The Jaguar I-Pace was actually quick of the line, but doesn't have a high top speed. Very nice car to cruise around the UK map in.

Now that they reduced the number of Adventures to qualify, I decided to try FFA. A Class Winter Road Racing in my Mitsubishi GTO. Honestly, my tune could have some improvement in the future, but at least I didn't come last :)

Do you think they'll ever make Fortune Island free and part of the mainline game, so they can integrate it into the Playlist? I know I could use an excuse to go back to it now that I've 100%ed it.

Permanently free no, but if they were smart they would do what other developers do and make DLC locations accessible as long as the host has it. In the case of the Playlist PG would themselves be the host and you could access it to do playlist related things but not free roam.

Obvious things are obvious. 👍
Also people must realize that there are procedures to follow if one is expecting results. You can't expect problems like tail lights to be fixed just by sending a ticket. Or car being added just by sending a tweet.

What is the procedure then? Sending a ticket is usually the first thing most software developers would suggest. The low-priority attitude toward smaller issues is one of the more frustrating aspects about Forza. Stuff usually doesn’t get fixed unless several people raise their voice at once.

One good example was the somewhat funny shifting animation in the Toyota Sprinter Trueno, as most players noticed immediately after the car was recently added, but it was fixed almost instantly thanks to the amount of attention it got from the community. Meanwhile, the pre-war Mercedes-Benz W154 still suffers from an immersion-breaking paddle shift animation, nearly two years on since launch. I bet the latter has been brought to attention on more than one occasion, but shrugged off by developers because it’s not generating a similar buzz. Kinda sad.

The Trueno stroke-shift was emergency patched because of the suggestive nature of the motion, which was inconsistent with the game's E rating, not because of complaints from the community. Most of the community thought it was amusing. In the meantime, there is a 20-page thread on the Forza forums full of people that cannot run the game because of a license activation conflict, which has been going on for several months now. They have not fixed that, either. So, it's not just the smaller issues that don't get fixed.

The Mercedes W154 shifting animation should be super easy to fix though - just like it was for the Toyota AE86. So my point stands, the W154 shifting animation hasn’t been fixed because there’s no buzz around it. I’m sure the AE86 animation would have been fixed anyway even if it wasn’t for the stupid undertones, because everyone noticed an issue at once during the week the car got released.

That other issue you mention sounds way more complicated to fix, and probably why it hasn’t been.

But it's the reality. If you want changes nowadays you need voices. The right procedure in the case of tail lights would be to open a discussion first. Just to se if it's not just a personal issue. If nobody else complain than don't expect much. Be realistic. If the problem doesn't bother others make your request in the Forza Horizon 4 Features Wish List.

And wait patiently.

The Range Rover Velar only added 600 XP. Usually these new exclusive cars come with at least 2000 XP. Odd.

I hate to say it, but the Jaguar I-Pace is the more fun to drive car compared to the Velar. I’d take the Porsche Macan over both though, but sporty crossovers aren’t really my thing anyway.

Hey @Populuxe Cowboy , if you thought the I-Pace's OEM color pallet was bland, wait until you see the Velar's.

Maybe it’s Land Rover’s way of making the car blend in, consistent with the Velar‘s theme of going undetected.

Modern OEM paint choices really are just 50 shades of grey, black, white, or a metallic cherry red and a variant of metallic blue that will be a cost option. Anyway you would think a launch edition would have special colour option and not just 3 versions of fleet sales silver.

I’m not sure why the Festival Playlist has decided to hand out unmentioned bonus cars lately. Last week it was a Ferrari 512 S and this week it’s a ATS GT - both happened at 50% alongside the listed rewards. :boggled:

Been happening since that one time the update was delayed and the game had to load up a backup playlist. It keeps giving out the rewards from that playlist.

You weren't 🤬 about the Velar's colors. So gray. Such dull. And like most of the modern SUVs in the game, this one is going in the garage to be forgotten about. I couldn't even be bothered to post a picture of it.

One of my complaints about the new SUV is that they don't seem to be interested in adding an off-road widebody to the SUV anymore.
This was one of the great additions to the FH4 and was a good kits of transforming a modern SUV that looks on-road oriented into an off-road beast.

But they've stopped adding it, and in the newly added SUVs, like the Velar, only the front bumper and rooflights are left as if they were wreckage.

Well, it's rare for them to add a car with a unique body kit anymore...

The Stelvio, Macan and F-Pace are the only ones that get semi regular mileage out of my garage, because they're actually decently competent. Oh, and the 74 Range Rover, but that's not an SUV per se.

Still waiting for those Bodykits PG promised over a year and a half ago....

It should be Torben Tuesday today, unless they finally decide 26 months of free cars is enough.

It's almost time for the 2 year anniversary. It would be a good opportunity for the final update. Still I want to believe they are going to continue at least until the beginning of the next year.
