I thought for sure I would be ignoring emotes in FH4 exactly the same way I ignore badges in FM7 or horns in FH3. But now that I've seen what they are, I'm thinking I might have some fun with it. I can imagine all of us using avatars of our emotes in their best clothes. An entire forum full of crazily-dressed avatars doing the dap and the floss. All the GT and AC and PC2 players looking around the forum and asking "what's with all the dancing chicken avatars?"

I have to say, based on what I've seen so far, that the map looks far, far more interesting than FH3's. There appears to be a lot more curves (as it should, it's England!) and a more realistic variety of road widths. They still look too wide, but it does seem better than before.

I like the move to houses as the hubs as I think it gives it a more intimate feel. The implementation is probably not as cool as PGR's, but I'll take it.

I wonder who is going to be first to add a robust car interior customization feature? I always drive in the interior view, so it would be awesome to change things.

I'm definitely going to pick this up.
I don't think anyone has done it since Midnight Club. May be more hassle than it's worth.

Some interesting bits about the route creator:
It seems like we wont get it at release (hence the "Coming soon" Tag) and we might have set Start and Finish Points....

Or it's dev build footage and they haven't enabled it in that version yet? See how the Auction House, Forzathon shop are all grayed out too. Doubt those will miss launch.

Anything else about the route creator is all speculation, we know nothing about the limitations of it other than; we can create circuits and point to point races.

FH3 had all those features greyed out for a week or two when it launched, hardly anything new on that front.

I have had an idea for something I'd like to do with FH4 that is loosely inspired buy things like the Gambler 500 or 24 hours of Lemons, and with the PI rebalancing and extra tire compounds adding more granularity to tire upgrades I think FH4 could excellent for something like this.

Of course you can't exactly go buy used junkers for $500 in Forza, so instead we'd just limit to C-Class, but any C-Class car is welcome to encourage a wide variety of car builds as there will be a wide variety of race events. However you must use the same car for all race events, so you can build a car that is strong at one type of event or build build something that is mediocre at everything. Events will include Full Tarmac races, Dirt road rally races, Cross Country, Drag races, etc. And the trip between each circuit event will be a long distance point-to-point sprint race containing a combination of Tarmac, Dirt, and Off-road sections built with the Route creator.

I'd like to host this once a month, or every 5 weeks so that each time we have a new season to change up the race events (they mentioned a Drag Strip on the ice lake during the winter season on the last live stream). Of course I'd need some time after the game releases to get a feel for the map and design the events with the Blueprint and Route Creator tool. I'd like to award point to people based on finishing positions to see who had the best overall car, so if the expanded blueprint tool lets us create online championships to automatically track that it would be amazing.

The Internet where I live is garbage, so I might need someone else willing to host the lobby and assist with setting up the meetup, But I think it would be great fun to have "Budget" car competitions with a mix of events so no one car can be best at everything.

Great news, us guys have more options for different skirts. Not on cars but on ourselves! Good job T10. You gave us what we asked for.

If dudes want to be a tranny all the power to them. I see they want to do a complete package with characters, which is good. If making skirts for men takes time away from improving the map, gameplay, cars, etc it does not sit right with me. But that is just my stupid opinion. Yes I know people will say hey, you don't have to put on a dress ya know. A game like Saints Row I get it. Well at least let me put a skirt on with my chicken suit then T10.

And what about all the gamers who are women? The 1950's are that way.

And what about all the gamers who are women?

I imagine the ones who are into Forza would also want the art team to focus on improving the core content in the game (better livery editor with more shapes and material options and easier text manipulation, higher resolution liveries in general, and better and more realistic paint options, especially manufacturer paints) than 500 reskinned blouses and skirts.

To say that women can only be interested in games if they provide female character models and traditionally feminine clothing options is rather...eh.

Because that is exactly what I said right? It hadn't even entered his head that women may play the game. That is what I was responding to. And are you both really that dumb to think that character customisation options takes that much away from the rest of the game.

A reworked livery editor, while needed, doesn't really make for a good highlight feature since most players make extremely simple ones or just use liveries someone else made. Things like character customization on the other hand makes for a great highlight feature since it's relatively easy to integrate into the game and is a way for players to customize even more things very easily.

I don't see myself using the feature all that much, but it certainly doesn't bother me that they are including it.
