I find it hard to believe they’d leave out such popular cars as the 812 Superfast and 2018 Civic Type R, as well as cars like the Safari Turbo and Colorado ZR2 that seemingly made for FH4.

No mention of the others but I've seen the Civic in multiple files. Remember that just as much as a car being present in the list doesn't mean it's coming to the game, it's equally possible that a car which seems to have gone missing is still coming.

They're done going over the seasons and the Forza Monthly stream was last week (which included the drift pack and Aug. update), so there doesn't seem to be much to highlight this week. Plus doing the reveal via a stream highlighting some cars would be a cool way to do it.
And before anyone says it, I'm fully aware that the odds of us hearing nothing this week is far greater.

I actually would believe it if they released it as-is. Kind of like how they trolled us with their CRX and refusing to add the sideskirts. The wagon in FH3 can't even go that low. So with the high ride height and widebody and let's say no spacers and for sure no wheel offset options...no pretty.

It's just unfinished. Since it never made it to actual release in FM7 it's pretty safe to say it wasn't finalised in that shot. Plus, it was probably made from a clone of the original RS6, meaning that if the data for the car hadn't been adjusted outside of the model, then the wheels would fit wrong as you see in the pic.

We're gonna have some interesting races with those spaceships and things like the hovercraft. I know everyone here is excited racing goofy things but how often do we get to race them? They could be only one time races and that is it. How often will people come back and race them over and over again? I realize they are doing this to lure more non racers in. If they do all this work for just for 1 or 2 races that no one is coming back to then the effort could have been spent on listening to what people really want to improve the longevity of the game.

Whether it's a spaceship in FH4, or a blimp in FH3, is irrelevant. These have always just been special single player races to draw into the Career mode to make it seem more fleshed out, and just like the other races, you can do them over. You're conflating things here but at the same time, it's an additional race to do, in turn, adding longevity. It's really as much for the racers as the non-racers.. It's for everyone playing the game.
I take it you've never played the Horizon series before, if you're asking about what these entail.
However, how you're commenting on the longevity is beyond me. We have no idea how it's going to be.

My levels of "WHAT" and maniacal cackling keep increasing.
If this is something featured in the standard game, I wonder what they will throw in with the two expansion packs included in the price of the Ultimate Edition?

I expect that one of the expansion is a collaboration with 007 series.
There were several models with names of James Bond like "DB5_Bond" in the leaked file.
And in the car data used in Horizon Stories there is a "Stories" notation like "FX4_Stories".
In other words, cars of Bond edition are likely to be unrelated to Stories.
Perhaps it will be a carpak like Fast and Furious or one of the two expansions.
