I'm still of the mind that we'll get at least one more new car with Horizon Realms when that drops. Just one would tick the car count up to 892 (for those of us in the US who don't get those special cars like the Oreo Zonda), which would be a nice even number to end on, while the rest of y'all end up with 895. That car will probably be our real hint as to where we go, and it'll probably be something either New-to-Horizon or New-to-Forza, like the VUHL was for FH4.
More like 10 people end on 895, a few hundred end on 894 or 893 and all the rest of us end on 892 in that case :D

Well there we go, 894/894. Another Forza title checked off with the maximum amount of unique cars owned.

Looking back on the FH5 years, I really liked the game and the map when it was just released, but the chore sure kicked in not so long after release. Both Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure couldn't really change that feeling, they were NOWHERE near close to the awesomeness of the Hot Wheels and Blizzard Mountain expansions for FH3.

The FH formula sure hasn't changed much since FH3 (especially if you don't care much about Event Lab) so I wonder if FH6 will bring anything new to the table. Looking at what Ivory Tower did with the Maui expansion for The Crew Motorfest (read: an actual MAIN MAP expansion) I honestly think this is a MUST for FH6 as well in the future.

Either way, FH5 coming to PS5 sure is a good thing. Even if it's just for making sure Ivory Tower has some competition on PS5/PS6 as well. ;)

Okay so I've completed the last playlist of the game (well...proper playlist!) I know that for most of you this is like an end of a era and its kind of like that for me, except I've still got two cars left to get.

I've mentioned on here before that I need the 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon and the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser AT37, I even though I've played this game a lot in the last three year and rarely miss anything I still missed those two, I know that the AT37 was a 40 point reward on one playlist that I didn't complete and the Station Wagon was a 20 point reward on one of the Donut Media playlist that I only got 7 points from, yes I'm now kicking myself for not getting both!

I know I get get them also on the auction house but I have tried an none showed and I know they can turn up in the backstage shop and the playlist votes they are doing, its just something of a waiting game now.

Since it's time to wax lyrical.... I logged in to FH5 every single week from launch until this week, and completed at least 20 points on the seasonal playlist every week. I guess that behaviour will gradually slow down now... But since I still love the game I'll probably login regularly for years to come, just like with FH4.

In the beginning I missed a few seasonal 40pt cars while playing through the base game, but that was solved relatively quickly. I've been on 100% garage completion for ages now.

I'm at work so I can't double-check until I get home, but I'm pretty sure I got to 895 cars. I got the '32 Ford FE, the OPI Ford GT, and the Oreo Zonda (I bought a code off eBay.) I think those are the only three truly exclusive cars?

894 is the maximum if you got the 3 tie-in cars. Look at the post above from @breyzipp who also got all 3.

I am some way off maximum (about 840 cars) because I was burnt out by FOrza MOrizon halfway through and had to break off for a few months. Hopefully I can pick up the other cars bit by bit, maybe. Maybe not.

I joined FH4 late (in 2019) which means I have spent the last 5.5 years of my life feeling like I was doing almost nothing (gaming wise) but chores in 3 consecutive Forza games.

Now we've got to the (virtually) end of FH5 and with FOrza MOtorsport being the same FOMO ******** just with a different title, I am totally FOMO'd out and have to actually play games to enjoy them going forward.

That probably means jumping off FM23 for the foreseeable future (as a minimum until they actually add a career mode) and may mean skipping FH6 altogether on the basis it WILL be the same weekly chores-athon as FH4 and FH5 just on another map.

Otherwise, GamePass is single handedly getting too close to ending my gaming life altogether. I'm trying to fight that currently by playing Grid Legends which actually has a career mode [remember them? FH4, FH5 and FM23 players may not] and The Crew 2 (which is at least full of content now to do in my own time without obsessing with getting 20x4 points/completing 34 races of 8-10 minutes to "earn cars").

I can't play The Crew Motorsport yet because its also the same FOMO for now.

I think underneath there is a solid game somewhere in FH5 (although that's largely down to EventLab, the "career mode" at the start lasts what 8-10 hours?). Unfortunately, they've forced me to spend 2 hours x 3.5 years = 300+ HOURS doing FOMO chores. Which left precious little time for anything else, if I wanted to play more than one game at a time.
