I want Tesla cars included as update. It`s mysterious, why as american brand and american studio publisher, this brand isnt included.

I remember Jeremy Clarkson reviewing the MG X-Power SV in late 2003 and saying you could have a version with nitrous.

You could indeed, though there's no evidence anyone ever did.

It's such a weird car, both before and after it was the MG X Power SV. I mention in the piece that it was a De Tomaso, then a Qvale, then the MG, but I didn't cover what happened to it later.

Basically a chap called Will Riley bought everything to do with it and kept making it. Except MG - now owned by Nanjing/SAIC - didn't like the use of the name and sued... and won. Also he might not have actually made any at all.

MG apparently made about 80 of them in total, and WR might have made some but nobody seems to know.

Considering Tesla has completely shuttered their licensing and media division, and anything regarding those two is handled by directly DM'ing Daddy Elon, I'm sure that for most devs the hassle isn't worth it.

As a Chinaman I have to tell you that this small van is both a meme and a "people's car" as many use this kind of van for all kinds of use in the vast rural areas.
So it's very amusing to see such an addition. I'm greatly suspicious when PD will add a Chinese car in GT.

Just scratching my head on this one...

... but does this mean that at the end of S4, FH5 - which is set in Mexico - will have more Chinese cars (3) than Mexican cars (1), or have I miscounted?
Aw, cut them some slack. It's not like there have been a bunch of Mexico-specific models that would be perfect fits for a Forza Horizon title...

Actually, on second thought, scratch away.

I would be extremely happy if forza horizion added a lot more customisable body parts for most of the cars. After all it is basically a street racing version of forza genre

EP9 and XPower should be fun. The other two are hot garbage.

I'd rather see the Lynk&Co Cyan concept or Xpeng P7 for Chinese cars that are more interesting than the MG3 or Wuling.

Well, can't say those aren't an interesting lineup.

I'm definitely going to gun for the X-power SV. EP9 I can take it or leave it, but I'm morbidly curious to see how Wuling and MG3 handles in-game.

The next Forza Horizon will be set in China! Anyway it should be fun to sample these cars and make the Wuling Hongguang a stupid fast comical meme machine. Kinda like my 1,500HP Delorean.

By the end of S4 - which is set in Mexico - we will have more Swedish, Danish, French and hey even British cars too.

I'm not excited for the Chinese cars but some of you guys are just incredible. Is this some political issue? Should Chinese players be discriminated just because born in China? Imagine being a Chinese player getting excited for the upcoming cars?

I was supposed to be looking forward to the 323GTR and the Xpower SV-R, but let's be truthful. What I'm looking forward to the most is that funny van.

I don't want to see all these type cars added, but the fact that there are a few of these quirky vehicles in the car list makes the game fun.
There is only one problem with this car. That is that it is an exclusive car.
How many hundreds of times will I have to reload the AH to get more than one of these fun meme vans?:(

Personally, I think this car list is brilliant. Something new and unique. Very much looking forward to some Chinese cars. The X-Power SV is epic and the Golf, 323 and 911 are not too shabby either.

I don't quite know why this is in response to my post, but...

After FH1 and FH2, which were just FM cars plus open world, you had FH3 which was set in Australia and introduced Australian brands and historic car culture, then FH4 which was set in the UK and introduced (more) British brands and historic car culture.

FH5 meanwhile is set in Mexico and introduced... umm... hmm... a story about the Beetle that was already in the game.

And of course it still has the anachronistic UK road traffic (Transit, Mazda3, Fiesta) and UK-style speed cameras (GATSO, SPECS) carried over from FH4. Plus the occasional red and gold Beetle taxi (if traffic is working).

FH4 did a pretty good job of replicating the UK in terms of overall feel. Aside from the odd... out-of-place car which would be at-best highly improbable to see on the UK's roads (due to never being sold here) which required a little suspension of disbelief, it felt like the UK. FH5 doesn't do the same for Mexico.

Certainly adding Chinese-market cars will be exciting for Chinese players, as would adding Indian-market cars for Indian players and Russian-market cars for Russian players, but it's another step away from making FH5 feel like it's actually in Mexico and not, as people have pointed out, a reskin of the UK with cactuses and flamingos (which I don't entirely agree with, but I can see their point).

And it strikes me as strange that the team can spend so long in Mexico, capturing skyboxes in 12K and reproducing the landmarks and tunnels of Guanajuato, and not at any point think "I've not seen a single SPECS camera or Volkswagen Bora carrying bikes on a roof rack, but there's bloody loads of Tsuru taxis and new Versas" (I mean, go to Google Maps and Streetview... anywhere in Mexico at all), so I very much doubt it escaped them - which makes me wonder why we have SPECS cameras and bike-toting Boras and not Tsurus and Versas.

Maybe FH3 and FH4 set too high a bar for regionalisation, and PG couldn't get MS or the manufacturers to sign off on old models (I know manufacturers like having their new stuff in games, because it advertises them and that converts to sales; they get nothing from used car sales), and/or niche cars, that are only popular outside their core markets (US/Canada, Europe/UK, Japan) that would give FH5's Mexico a similar Mexico-feel to FH4's UK-feel - leaving them largely stuck with the assets they had, plus a couple of new cars and anything T10 had got signed for FM8?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game for the most part (and I did give it a good review score, while noting some flaws others missed with their 10/10 scores), but given how British FH4 felt it is disappointingly weird that FH5 doesn't feel as close to as Mexican as that despite the effort put into the environment.

Would not be suprised if I receive an instant ban when the season goes live regarding my Free Hong Kong and Winnie the Pooh liveries..

Joking aside, we lose Fiat, Lancia & Alfa and recieve this communist garbage from T10..
Share codes for your designs if you please bud. Let's all go down together 😂😂😂😂
