Damn right, it'll probably be like my Scooby in Forza 1 and Legacy (don't ask) in GT1. Can't wait to see what tuning options there will be available to it.

Given that complete powertrain swaps are possible, and I've seen some pretty radical things done to the MKII GTI, it could be a bit crazy...

...Chances are that we'll see the same turbo/supercharge kit that has dominated the car for so long, probably some trick suspension upgrades, etc. I'm guessing that it will be a favorite with the VW folks, and I'm hoping it gains a bit of respect with the other kiddies as well.

I'm interested in attempting an R32 conversion on the car...

[Taylor Hicks]POSSIBILITIES! HE-YAH![/Taylor Hicks]

What about the lack of the new TT and R8, and I swear if they don't even have the new Civic in there....

There's a lot of stuff missing from that list, just like there was last time. There's stuff missing even from GT4's massive list. There's always going to be cars "missing" from the list because there has yet to be a game where you can have >1,000 cars available. The good news is that there's downloadable cars in the game's future (a benefit that all platforms are sharing these days).

Sure, the Forza2 car list is a bit...thin...but you have to admit that it's far more balanced than any version of GT4. ;)

I still think GT4 has the better selection of cars, which makes it more balanced in my view.

I can't wait for this installment of the Forza saga  But seriously, it does look great. The car auction function looks good. I think it would be quite good to have a "live auction", where you can be the auctioneer and get to shout stuff down the mic like a real one. imagine it...

"OK, next up is this lovely Ferrari F430. 30,000 miles, comes with all the best performance mods, well used, successful and good racing history. So, who will start me at 100,000cr?

(someone put in a bid)

"Thereweareatonehundredthousand,onehundredthousand,anyonegivemeonetenonetenonetenthankyousironetenintheroomatonehundredandtenthousandcreditslookingforonetwentyonetwentyonetwentyonethirtyonethirtycomeonatonethirtynewbidderinatonefourtyanyoneelsenowonefifty?.......nostayingatonefourtylastchanceatonefourty.....goingonce.....goingtwice.....sold!"

...It would be interesting. I suppose we should lay the foundations now for a GTP club, and auction house. I'm wondering who will be first to do a GTP-themed car...

(not me)

man that top secret supra looks wicked. I hope you can take the wings of cars completely...

And the news about the possible clutch has got my neck hears tingling with the thought of a g25 patch

it's not a racing game, it's a driving sim....lol, wonder where they got that from, first saying it is going to be the biggest revolution in driving games since the gran turismo series, now this:D

A clutch in a racing game? No, No, No, No, No. No.

...If I'm not mistaken, you can set-up certain racing games (such as GT) to use a clutch type setup before you change gears... Does that mean everyone does it? No, in most cases not, but the option is there...

I could have sworn there was a way to drive the cars in GT4 where you had to hit circle or triangle before shifting to basically use a clutch. Maybe I saw it in a different game, as I seem to recall reading about it in a game manual before (and then laughing it off as it adds far too much complexity to the game)...

I think I've seen a clutch button in one game, but I can't remember what it was.

TOCA, maybe?

I know GT doesn't have it, though. They probably won't impliment it unless the game is designed to use a clutch-equipped wheel like that new Logitech whatchimacallit.

yeah I think it was TOCA

Maybe it was TOCA. I can't recall for sure. I keep on thinking there was a Playstation game and an XBOX game that could do it, and TOCA certainly would have fit into both of those boxes...

Forza 2 will have 1000 vinyls on several sections of the car. Holy crap that is awesome!! I just found out about this and couldnt believe it!! That could be anywhere around 4000 vinyls for each car meaning you could make any design or anything you wanted. :D Some parts get 500 which is still a lot!!

yep v8 supercrars 3 had a clutch, but anywheel with a clutch(G25) it doesn't support:crazy:!

Anyway, back on topic, i hope you can take the wings of for drifting or high speed etc and get like race approved widebody kits to give a wider wheel base and improve handling lol.

You mean the actually-easy-to-remember G25? :sly:
When ever someone creates a GTP Car Club for FM2, here is some ideas's for your the GTP FM2 Car Club on what events and other stuff can happen in it:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4430085&postcount=1

Note: As you will have guessed I am the one, who set up the AVF FM2 Car Club.
I'd join that if someone made one here.

I just pre ordered this from Amazon , and it says shipping date is April 2nd , how accurate is that?
