The cars are mostly grouped based on the real-life series they run in (pretend you don't see the Huracan ST Evo in GT3), and Turn 10 also applies their own BoP to each car the Spec series, typically in the form of Ballast, Power increase/decrease and tire width adjustments. Ideally, P.I. shouldn't mean as much, because the BoP should make it to where each cars unique characteristics, alongside the skill of the driver, are the most important factors.

That being said, what makes the M4 GT3 so strong, as far as I can tell, is that is has a lot of power and torque for its class, and delivers that power quickly and consistently and throughout most of its optimum rev range, while still having very good handling overall. I haven't compared weight between the cars, but I wouldn't be surprised if the M4 GT3 is also one of the lighter cars in Spec GT3.

Now, that does mean that the M4 is very prone to spinning its wheels when coming out of corners, but the corner-exit speed and traction it has is very good as long as you don't light up the rears. No matter what, the overall acceleration and handling garner strong results. The fastest lap times I've been seeing from seasoned players using the M4 GT3 are typically 1-3 seconds faster, sometimes more, than any other car in the category, depending on the track. Hell, I saw someone put down a low 2:19 with the M4 on Spa yesterday. I'm sure that's not the fastest-ever time on Spa in Spec GT3, but I'd say it's still a pretty insane lap time regardless.

Honestly, unless there are plans to add the Z06 GT3.R to the game, I'd love it if the C8.R was moved to the GT3 class. Hell, it spent half of its career racing GT3 cars anyways.

You should totally give the C7.R a go if you haven't. It's handling isn't as good as the C8.R, but it's still very good in its own right, while also having excellent power and top speed. It's my go-to GT2 car for Daytona, as well as tracks that are balanced between power and handling, i.e. Spa. Also the Viper GTS-R is, somewhat ironically, one of the best handling cars in Spec GT2.

Semi-related to all of that, the Forza GT Multi-Class Spec series is...something to behold. The current BoP within GT2 and GT3 creates a "fun" situation where the GT3 cars (especially the META or META-adjacent cars) are actually decently faster than the GT2 cars, but start behind them. This setup almost always guarantees a significant melee at the start of the race, especially if you're in the top-end of the GT3 grid. It's great (/heavy sarcasm).
Oh I'm well aware of the M4 spinning it's wheels out of corners. I lost a 10 lap race at Bathurst from the lead on lap 10 and it spun coming out of Reid Park.

I do have the C7.R and it's very good but it didn't seem to come alive until I maxed it all the way out. And that brings up something I think I'm going to do with these modern GT cars. I've maxed out a few of them Lexus, Audi, C7.R etc. but I think I'm going to go back and take them back to stock and just add race brakes to them. I maxed out the M4, raced it twice, then turned around and brought it back down closer to "stock" and I think that's probably where it needs and the other GT cars need to be.

The Viper GTS-R is my next buy so I'm looking forward to see how it goes.

Hope there is a undocumented RTGI fix for the cockpit. Its still broken and is not usable in the cockpit which would normaly make the most difference. But it snice they are adding alot of these daily drivers. That the reason why i loved games like Forza and GT.

Both i20N and Elantra N should be new.
So the Elantra N and i20 N are going to Motorsport 'first', while the rest of the update is New-to-Motorsport. Considering FH5's currently in its end of life for now, it's possible they'll make the jump in FH6, but with Horizon Realms still coming to FH5, who knows?

With that out of the way, let's make predictions for update 18: "Velocity"

It sounds rather vague, but on the Forza website, they did say: "In March, you can look forward to a Velocity-themed update featuring additional new-to-Motorsport cars and events that demonstrate the intense speed, horsepower and cornering prowess of some of the world's most cutting-edge cars" (sic)

So this leaves it up for interpretation whether this is going to be an exotic-heavy update, or the addition of more Hypercars/LMDh.

If they'll add a track before the big one in May, Monza would likely be a good candidate for next month as it's often called "the temple of speed".

There won't be a track, but: https://velocityinvitational.com/

Maybe a nod to this? The SUBARU WRX VSC Project Midnight would be an awesome car to have.

I'll definitely pin that on a exotic update. Even this update didn't add any more TCRs so a focus on the World's Fastest Cars along with Monza would fit splendidly.

The Gemera would likely be a safe bet here, but if the specific wording of "New-to-Motorsport" holds we could see the Hennessey Venom F5 making the jump from Horizon. I'll make that my top prediction for the update.

The PS5 port is made by Panic Button
main work is made by Panic Button but PG and T10 are assisting on them, it was also confirmed

Hokihashi
Ar12 gaming
Dubs to just name a few ex.
they already always had focus on FH4 and FH5, rarely talking about FM updates unless was something polemic like shutdown or lack of a nexgen upgrade like FH4 has

I feel like one of these in particular just wanted to see the game fail.
Not just he, butu there has some channels that clearly has anti Forza bias for some reason i still dont get, one of those is a VERY known need for speed fanboy that is known by a super hero name, talked trash about MS itself for years and tries to trash Forza for years and when someone mentioned that maybe NFS should follow Forza route, he went to say a very anger comment on twitter

Lastly for those individuals that are only here to spread doom and gloom I highly recommend that you hang out on the official Forza Forums instead. People love preaching about the downfall of the franchise over there 😂
tbh i only prefer go to the car vote area of the forums, is far better and i wish more people used to talk about cars we want in the game
Rise and shine everybody!

Great update, more cars that i expected, if i had not lost my count it has around 10 cars and most of them are new-to-motorsport including a few nice asian cars

i expected the 5N came up, its a suprise that 86 is also on it as well
but its also a bummer that the 5N eN! Cup version and 86 Cup cars arent not on update yet

I think the game is fantastic and I’m loving every minute I spend in it which is rather a lot these days, on my DD Wheel it feels just completely dialled in. Not a fan of the time barred events but that is for another discussion, it looks glorious and I’m always finding plenty of full lobbies in Multiplayer even though they’re mostly dumb, thankfully I qualify quite high up and avoid the carnage unfolding behind me… it’s not a hardcore Sim and I’m thankful for that, you still have to drive correctly but it’s most of all enjoyable, which is exactly how a game like this should be..FUN
