Its on Android and its called ForzaDroid. It usually stabilizes the car, and then you just have to setup the rest for the track. Like the gearing aero and height. I mean It doesn't "work" for every car but its a good starting point.
 
Hey guys, just officially added myself to the Google Docs roster after contacting zr1chris. I can't wait to meet all of you and your cars on Xbox LIVE!

I noticed some things in the Google Doc if it matters to anyone (I'm kind of a perfectionist). The numbers in the document are no longer sorted, it would be nice if they were for easier sorting of which number isn't in use. Also, per the OP, we were to choose numbers between 1-100 but some members have chosen numbers past 100 already and even '0'. Just pointing out the obvious probably but felt I should mention it anyway. :)

I also use the app. I can't tune so it helps me a lot. 👍

No prob. I have been letting triple digit numbers go since we have close to 100 members. Also they are mostly in order. I just need to update the last few that got added.

Since I run manual+clutch I run very close ratios so the car is always in it's power band
 
I seem to be making at least two mistakes a lap, I am sure I can get into the low 2.00 or a high 1.59 maybe. I still won't be running manual clutch either as my shifter set won't be here until Monday, I think that will be a big advantage in the golf.

It's not so hard as you may think. First check in the Upgrade Shop screens where your car's peak torque and power are located (in terms of RPM). Let's say your highest torque and power start somewhere around 5000 RPM. Then go to Tuning and adjust each gear (except the first gear) so that it starts at 5000 RPM (lower point of the line). This will give you the most torque and power after you shift gear. After you've done this for every gear you can use the Final Gear Ratio to change them all at once for more acceleration or speed, without moving the bottom points of the lines too much.

It's such a long track, that it is near impossible to get a "perfect" lap while pushing hard! Just keep trying! I drove ~50 laps to get that time I currently have. I just keep making same stupid mistakes over and over again :P

edit: And oh, that lack of manual clutch surely bogs down the Lotus quite a bit. I tried it with paddle-shifters without manual clutch and it was so much slower !

Yeah that one is much like the Droid version.

I use this one as my computer is near my cockpit, if you have excel it is pretty good for starting points.

Thanks for this Jimbo!! It's brilliant! Did wonders to the Golf at least, have to try it on some other cars too. And I love all the little details it gives you... Car pr0n... :bowdown: I feel like a proper geek sitting there in my "cockpit" with my mini laptop next to me fiddling with my tire pressures etc. :dopey:

No, I'm really not! :D It is just a simple combination of stubbornness and idiocy: bang your head into the wall long enough and it'll break - the head or the wall. Or something like that. :P

But damn, nice time! Still, fear not, I made a superb setup today with a little help from the calculator provided by Jimbo, but didn't have the time to give it a proper go. I will save it for the last minute of tomorrow evening...! :mischievous:

Fifty foooooken laps, 2 hours of constant driving, don't you dare take that away from me again!!!! :D

You would not believe the amount of curse words it took to get that time. Somewhere along the way I got a time that was 0.008 secs slower than Man Hamster, which was quite discouraging! I don't think I've ever spent this much time and effort on any of our qualifyings. Over 100 laps of this track which is in my least favorites top 3. Christ. If someone still beats that, I won't be taking it back. Seriously.
