6 Week Competition Starting March 18th





***RULES***The rules are as follows...this will be a 6 week competition...starting on Sunday March 18th, I will announce a car/track combo. You will have until Tuesday to get your tune to the Stig by gifting it to him or uploading it to your storefront. Please put your Gamertag or Forzaplanet ID in the title of your tune so Stig can keep them sorted. Wheel users submit your tunes to Wheel Stig and pad users submit your tune to Pad Stig. I will announce who the Stigs are on Saturday March 17th. The Stigs will have until Saturday a.m. to test all the tunes by running 5 laps with each race tune or 3 laps for each drift tune on each track. The Stig will then provide me with the fastest lap times for each tune and I'll sort them from fastest to slowest. For drift tunes we'll go by most points for the whole run. Fastest lap or most drift points gets 10 points, second fastest 8 points, and the rest will go down in 1 point increments from there.

***PRIZES*** The person with the most points at the end of 6 weeks will be awarded 1 million credits and any car of choice in the game that will be painted with a custom Tuning Champion livery by MuchoJimbo. If we have enough participants then I'll award 1 million to 2nd place and 500,000 to 3rd place. Feel free to ask any questions if the rules are not clear.

I thought it would be something good for the guys that aren't the fastest on the track but may be good tuners or good at creating liveries. Maybe Forcone, Fezz, Carlos, or DeadlyDC won't win these competitions too. Hopefully enough people show interest for us to do it. Do you guys think we should have 2 Stigs, just in case one has a busy schedule and isn't able to test all the cars on a certain week?

If you and Fezz want to be the 2 Stigs, that's fine by me. If anyone else wants to do it I think we can have you guys compete for it, with the fastest 2 drivers getting the job. It won't matter though, if we don't get enough people showing interest in a tuning competition.

I would be interested in the tuning comp but only if there is a competition for stig. I mean, if it's going to be a competition I am going to spend time competing in, I want to make sure the best drivers are chosen. If a sloppy driver is chosen, it may not make the results accurate. The idea to have two stigs would be great too. The best two drivers will be stigs.

Ok, I think we should put together a list of who wants to do what and go from there. Just post if you wanna participate in the tuning comp, the livery comp, or if you wanna be a Stig. We can decide on what the competition to pick the Stigs will be later. I just wanna take part in the tuning comp. Looks like Fezz, hennessy, and Thatman wanna be Stigs. I'll put Bry down for tuning....Carlos, do you wanna tune and paint or just paint?

Another point: I think Fezz at least uses a controller (???). IMO at least the other "Stig" should be a wheel user? I've done some setups in the past that felt great and stable as hell with the controller but were absolute rubbish with a wheel, since you don't feel the "balance" and all the little twitches etc. through a controller. In plain English: "wheel-setups" are faster and more drivable with a wheel, and controller setups with controller, roughly. Right?

Of course driver preferences make a difference too, some prefer killer oversteer, some understeer etc.

Yeah I'm on a controller, I agree it would be in the best interest of fairness if there was a wheel user too!

Do we have to be a single thing? I would like tuning or representing Flamve for painting since hes never on here. Based that 'Cones is shootin for stigs too. Can we have a third stig for drifting

Gotcha....you would just have to submit your paint or tune by whatever day we decide will be the cutoff day so the Stigs will have enough time to test all the tunes and the club members have a few days to vote for the best liveries. We'll figure out all the details shortly....hoping to start this in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I gave it a bit more thought, and came to a realization that I have to reconsider this Stig-thing (not that I'd necessarily be chosen). Seems like so much work and I have just so little time at the moment. And I haven't had a chance to play the game just completely and utterly for fun in ages! So I think I leave this to the ones that have a bit more resources for it!

Well, you'd probably be the front-runner for Wheel Stig, but I understand your reasons for not wanting to do it. I'm gonna have a tough time trying to oversee this whole thing with my schedule, but I'll do the best I can to get it going and keep it organized.

I also need to know if DeadlyDC and Marmite were interested in being Stig. Congrats to Hamster for winning Drift Stig...if you use a pad you will also be Pad Stig, if not it goes to Marmite if he wants it. Fezz gets it if Marmite doesn't want it. DeadlyDC is Wheel Stig if he wants it, if not Hennessey gets it. Hope this isn't confusing to anyone.

I don't know if this has been brought up before but maybe the contestands should put their tuned cars up in the garage. Us "normals" would be able to see which one is the best to drive. You could even add a poll to see what the fan favorite car is.
