Ive read a few articles on that, I gotta say I feel for the innocent victims of this man's actions. To call his punishment "cruel and unusual" on the basis that he is old and sick sounds like a last minute excuse.

I suppose when this sick old man committed murder it wasn't cruel and unusual?

Or arranging hits on witnesses to his crime wasn't cruel and unusual?

I actually agree with you, the law allows murderers and such to be given the death penalty, just because they're older when their execution date turns up doesn't mean suddenly they're exempt from punishment.

I just hate it when people play down horrible crimes because of the criminals situation. He's old, he grew up in a bad neighborhood, he's black, he's poor, he only had one parent. Blah blah blah. Did he/she plan the murder of another person? Yes, then they get the gas, period.
