FRIC suspensions to be banned. Merc domination in danger?

F1 is far too political. It's entire existence has been marred by the FIA introducting rule changes to stop dominating teams. Why can't a team that is doing so well be allowed to do well? The other teams should have to compete by building better cars, not by waiting for rule changes that make everyone equal. It's like socialism; the government, the FIA, restricts success.

As a NASCAR fan I despise Johnson's domination, but if NASCAR ever tried to stop the domination of Johnson and Hendrick (through changes to the cars, not the point system) it could hardly be called a sport. My man Stewart snapped Johnson's streak with his own team in 2011, and that's what F1 teams should have to do as well. But they have to rely on car changes, that's why Vettel's streak will end.
but stewart is a fat baby and doesnt count. he just whines andf cries.

Would you like to propose an actual argument or are you going to waste my time with nonsense? Capitalize your sentences fragments.

He doesn't do that and you should see him drunk post. Second he actually has a point, Stewart (your man i.e. bias) has a do as I say not as I do type attitude. He'll block you, run you off the road this and that to win if he needs to. The moment you do this on purpose, or spin your ties on a restart, or get knocked into his direction by another and thus he thinks you tried to block his momentum...then it's a massive issue. I like Stewart as the media figure he is pre and post race, but his bitching as a driver most of us could do without.

Anyways this isn't the NASCAR thread this is https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/2014-nascar-thread.290527/page-177

I think we should get back to the discussion about FRIC, and on that topic I have a question for those that actually know something and not here to hash out another series. I heard some chimes that Ron Dennis might have been a main player against FRIC as some sort of power move, anyone know more on this or just rumors being circulated?

It's one thing to be wrong and gracefully acknowledge you were wrong by posting it yourself.
Honestly, I had forgotten I had posted it. I post a lot of things. I've been wrong before and doubtless I will be wrong in the future. But I don't file every post away, waiting for a contradictory source so that I can pounce on it with a cry of "a-ha!". And it certainly doesn't mean that I owe you an apology. If you're so thin-skinned that this caused you some kind of pain or distress, then you have bigger problems.

It's another when you belittle other people who quoted multiple sources, tell them they're wrong multiple times, and then not apologize for being so obstinate.
If I belittled you, it's because you had it coming for your behaviour. Put it this way - if I were still a moderator, you would be lucky to escape with an infraction for your rudeness. Fortunately for you, I am no longer a moderator, because it was people like you who sucked all of the fun out of the forums.

The moral of the story is that this is the internet. Stop taking it do seriously.

He doesn't do that and you should see him drunk post.

I don't care if he's drunk or not; the AUP states you must use correct grammar. I'm going to call him out if he challenges my argument while being too lazy to capitalize.

And no, his doesn't have a point, because Stewart's driving style has nothing to do with his team's ability to build a championship car and beat Johnson, just like F1 teams should have to do without rule changes. I'm not driving this thread off-topic as you love to accuse me of, you are.

>Enters thread about FRIC suspensions in F1
>Most recent post is discussing NASCAR

Did I get redirected?

Anyways, it looks like the lack of FRIC has caused a bit of instability for some drivers, with a lot more lockup under braking. Will probably see less and less of it as time progresses this weekend and the drivers get use to it and make the necessary adjustments to compensate.

So I guess no one knows if Dennis played a hand in this or if RBR as some are starting to suggest based on Friday FPs

EDIT:

@JMoney689 I posted up for you in NASCAR thread as I said before in my post that you neglected to properly quote and understand take it there. Also @GTPorsche and then moderated by @daan also said take it there.

Crofty on SkySportsF1 tried to suggest that FRIC was too expensive to develop for the smaller teams, he said Merc had spent £7 million to develop theirs to the level it was. That amount of money is a p*ss in the ocean over the course of a few years especially when you consider every non-FRIC team would have spent at least a few million developing their suspension anyway.
