alb, sounds like you had a bad glitch hit you... sorry you didn't actually make it in to race with us. fyi, there are other rooms with the keywords "Friday fun" in them, so make sure you also verify it is the combo we were planning to run.

it was still a lot of fun, and actually four of us toward the end had a great time with some close racing and generic talk about this and that... we may even have a date to play counterstrike in the near future

Yup! That was me... Remember when I came in, I asked if it was okay if I went out on the track to practice? Everything seemed fine. No lagging...I saw Brandon and mister dog come into the room and get assigned cars. Well, at least I made it onto the server. For weeks I kept forgetting and would look at the clock at finally remember when it was 11:30pm. Maybe by next week I'll actually make it through a race. You know...baby steps!

I didn't even know what name it used -- my AC name or my Steam name. I should probably change it so people will see "ALB123". It would be more familiar to people.

I don't have a way to upload the whole replay file(haven't set up a drop box or anything), but I did make a youtube!

note, it is downsampled from 1440p to 1080... everything is maxed except not highest of high reflections... I normally run 120fps with my 970, so these settings are purely for replay recording. (I make copies of my video.ini file)

This was not the only people who showed, but it was the best race in terms of wanting to go save the replay right afterward

I can't believe I missed that fun last night. Man...When I was doing some practice laps, obviously that car is pretty scary, but if you went fairly easy thru the bends/turns you should be alright...However, every time those last right-handers came up my knuckles would go white. You want a good run out of that last right-hand turn so you can blast it down the straight. That car can be a handful.

Just a heads up for the future, most of us FNF'ers are night owls (except Brandon ) and depending on how many folks stick around we usually stay in the server until well after midnight. A couple weeks ago I think we were still on after 2am.

How big is it i'd be interested in having it? We could look for a solution to upload it somewhere.

I think in the race before that when Brandon was still there we were 3 aside on the main straight

Had a full room for a while (24 drivers) and it was pretty darn clean for the most part. Some really great racing at times.

Oh, so we're only good enough for you if we do advanced pro combos? I see. I'll show up for a night of online racing with friends no matter what the combo. (Unless I have too many dinner beers and fall asleep in the recliner).

It was a lot more challenging and fun than I expected. Stringing together a fast lap was very rewarding even if it was a short lap. I guess the big crowds were all waiting for me to leave though, most I saw on track was six or seven.

Does someone else want to run FNF for a few weeks? I'll update the OP and even get the server running on Fridays. All you have to do is pick a combo and show up. Knowledge of the admin tools app is a plus in case someone shows up that needs to be kicked.

Was Laguna Seca laser scanned for GT6? I think Mount Panarama was, wasn't it? Boy, it's been so long I can't remember...Anyway, it will be nice to have an official Laguna Seca track next year. 👍

I'll pass on that one. That might be my least favorite car in the game, certainly my least favorite of the Porsche packs. It only wants to go straight and is very opposed to braking or turning. I really wanted to like it but I just find it terrible.

I have a small window this evening to jump on, I'll try to get a combo sorted, might be another Porsche (have we done the Cayman Clubsport GT4 yet?). I'm open to other suggestions but recommend sticking to Kunos content if we want a good crowd since we'll know everyone has the content.
