The 908 cockpit looks like a giant fishbowl with triple screens. That or the cockpit of a tie fighter.

Did a few laps around Imola in each, got within a few tenths of each other and probably could get closer with more laps. I was slightly faster in the Porsche, which I think is backwards to what it should be but the Mazza is a bit more unruly. I say run both of them. 👍

OP lazily updated.

I might run the GT3 race at RD so it might be like last week. Start the server early and show up around 9:30

I did decide to sign up for the RD race. And I have a hunch I will be doing so on most Fridays. The longer races at RD are scratching a simracing itch that I haven't scratched since my GT5 days. I thought about just doing longer races here, but that kinda goes against what FNF was supposed to be. It was always meant to be quick race, after quick race, after quick race. Nothing serious, just fun.

So what to do?

- Start FNF a bit later? RD races should be done around 9:30 or so.
- Keep doing what we did last week? Which was start the server early and let it ride?

I'd prefer the 2nd option, but if some troublemakers show up there will be no one there to kick them. The voting system never seems to get the job done. Normally we don't have issues, but all it takes is one jackass to ruin the fun for everyone else. Maybe some of you could learn the admin tools app? It's easy to install & use (http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/admin-tools-0-8.22159/)

What say you my fellow FNFers? Any thoughts/suggestions?

I know I'm not usually around when the crowd gets big, but I've seen very few jackassery going on. In fact I can't recall ever seeing anyone just being a complete jackass and causing trouble just for the sake of causing trouble. I've seen some questionable racecraft but that's to be expected and nothing terribly egregious. So, it might be safe opening it early and leaving it unattended for a while, but of course we wouldn't have any way of knowing if trouble was happening and something like that could damage the good reputation FNF has made for itself.

I don't know, tough call. Would be best if we could have someone in there for the first hour to handle problems and report back to us, but not sure if we have that option.

Just run it, like Brandon says we haven't encountered practically any idiots. I might hop in this evening after i come back from our office party (depending on the state I'm in) :D

that would be entertaining to see :) Last week, I had only one beer and had to quit racing after it kicked in. Though, it was a craft brew which was 12%

I was moses' staff, and wiz was the israelites.

Idk, ppl came up from both sides and just hit me... not sure how

I'm finding the further away I get from Gran Turismo the less I enjoy racing street cars. I'll still race them though, I'd race fork trucks if they were in the game. :D

the plus on "that side" of the world, though, was that most of the parts were moddable, and thus we were able to cure some of the stock problems cars had. In AC, a street car that is hard to handle, may not be tamable. BUT! that is part of the fun.

So, I'd ask that the car chosen is not one of the more difficult ones, but I will try to be there regardless.

Yep, I've actually come to really enjoy learning a car and adapting to it, even ones with rubbish default setups. I started doing that in GT5 when I realized how broken tuning was in that game, and about that time the "tuning prohibited" option for online came out and I just started running all my races like that. I feel like it's probably made me a more well-rounded driver because I can fairly quickly adapt to any car, rather than trying to adapt the car to me.

Brand battle this Friday.

It's going to be the BMW 1M & M3 E92 vs the Porsche 718 Cayman & 718 Boxster at Nurburgring Sprint GT

I'll update the OP soon.
