I've been considering buying the URD mods but haven't done so yet. I've read a bit about them, they seem on the up-and-up and the mods are top quality, their C6R is certainly top notch. I believe Kunos is even using them to build the C7R.

If you race them, I'll buy them. But might I suggest doing a few weeks with them so we can be sure to get our money's worth? I'd vote for Nurb GP and Silverstone.

I also have the full EGT (?) car set with the Darche............ They all provide ffb, brake and throttle response right out of the box as good or better than any of the native cars..............👍

That's what I've heard. And I'm very interested in the Darche, I'd almost pay $10 for one of those (with good physics) alone. I have one but I think it's ripped and not all that good so I don't really drive it. It's a true shame they're so absent from the sim racing world, 🤬 EA Sports.

Worth it easily IMO. With Blip and Auto Clutch turned on .........makes it easily the smoothest Downshifting in the game that I've experienced so far. Just watching it's body it from the rear ............seems so surreal in replays.

I would definitely consider using the URD mods in the future. I own EGT & T5 and love them both.

My only concern is excluding those who don't have them and have no plans to get them.

I'd really like use them for a league/series later on down the road.

I am hooked on the URD Models too. I've found at least 10 great looking skins for the Darche and it's becoming my favorite car in the game. I've tried a few sound mod's for it too. I've been running it with "Old" track @ ambient temp of "10c", hardest tires and 100% no aids (no abs). Another 1000 miles of track time with that combo should give me a good base in technique for many other cars AC has to offer.........👍

Maybe just make an announcement in the OP saying something like "In one month we will be using these payware mods that have been tested and are excellent, so start saving your pennies now". That way people would have a head's up and could take some time to decide if they want to buy them or pass, and if they pass they'll know they won't be racing that weekend. Or, and I'm not positive how the server controls work, but maybe find a Kunos car that is competitive with the URD cars and add that to the available car list? That probably wouldn't work as well for the DTM cars but since the URD is basically GT3 I'd hope there would be a Kunos car in the game that could hang with them.

in which case isn't it better to keep the payware as a separate series. No one is going to want to pay for a mod that they may only use a couple of times either. Don't we have enough problems already getting enough folks to race without adding more barriers like payware?
IMHO, this is just echo of the "must have that model" addiction that GT5/6 (or before) inculcated within us.

Take a deep breath, it will pass.

Well, regardless of whether we're using them I bought the EGT pack. They're great, feel and look pretty much just like a Kunos car. Only $9 USD and it's well worth that. At the very least it brings a complete looking series to the game, should make for some nice looking grids. I'm trilled to finally be able to drive a 911 if nothing else.

Had a quick practice session last night. Was running low 1:12's

14L of fuel should be enough. I'll leave assists on Factory like usual, so remember to turn off TC for this one.

I like the 1M at Grobnik. Thanks for the suggestion @Johnnypenso That said, I'll be putting it on hold for a week or so.

We'll be running the Nordschleife on Friday. I have to. It's too awesome not to run it.

I'm not exactly sure what I want to do yet.

One of two things. Either GT3 & GT2 cars... or put up like 2 of each new car on the Tourist version and run it like a track day.
