Friday Rockets 20:30-21:30 BST Congratulations Champion EranFinished

Next Round 3 from Serres
Round 4 I think Sick?

We have done some tyre testing and the favoured tyres (so far) are either comfort soft or sports medium
I'm still like the CS tyres at the moment, they make the car more lively. I've also gotten used to the gearbox now and after adding the magic oil (22hp!) it's much better.

A new track I've spent the last 3 days making that suits it quite well - Circuit Sans Nom - give it a go and let me know what you think.

So, which track is it now? I thought its Serres in which case the need to practice needed is very little for me. If it's a track I don't know I must try to get a few km on it at least because the Maiwald thingy, as nice a track it is, was frankly desastrous. Fun nonetheless. :D

Yes Flaco & Zo, it is Shortun *
We've just finished racing around it in the Wednesday Cobras.

Unfortunately there were only 6 of us but it was still intense because it's so short. One wrong move and you've lost a place.

Serres is next week.

* Not the track called Shortish - which might be used in a later series.

Sorry, I couldn't make it home in time. Lots of traffic jams due to accidents and a transmission failure made this a day one I like to erase from memory, too much stress to notify earlier, too. Hope the racing was fun.

Sorry you couldn't make it Flaco - hopefully we see you next week. It was a really good meeting with some very exciting racing - it's a brilliant bit of track making by @IfAndOr which looks simple and can be learnt quickly, but like all great tracks extra time can be had by mastering the track and car combination.

@IBt_33 made an immediate impression - he is a very good driver! Full race report and championship points etc. will follow in a few days.

I hadn't had a chance to practise with the Rocket, but was familiar with the track from racing the Cobra on Wednesday. I finished the Qualification Race second from last, but made a very good start. Sutsagrd lost some time due to wheelspin and I was able to get ahead in the Feature Race just as I had in the earlier Qualy Race. This must have been frustrating for him as I had been lapping slower. Unfortunately the pressure of trying to stay ahead of Suts led me to brake too late and run off track. I was now in last place behind Suts, John and the fast boys who were sprinting away up front. John slipped wide at the tricky downhill corner at which I go down to second, but the faster drivers are probably in third. I was unable to make any impression on Sutsagrd and was also unable to replicate my fastest lap time from the qualification race. Before the race started I wondered how many times I would be lapped by JJac and Zolon - I was very pleased only to be lapped once by them and IfAndOr who scored a great podium.

A great race - next week the track is "Serres" a replica of the Greek track - @Flaco13 see if you can get George (the tracks creator) to race - as an incentive he can race in Greek colours!

Sorry for missing the round, Sick. As you noticed, I sent you a message that I couldn't come as something had come up.

In next week, I won't be making to the Rockets neither, as I'm racing in a series at the same hour.

Sick
I have work commitments this Friday and am away Friday after which means I'll miss the rockets for 2 weeks.

Should be fun flinging the rockets around Serres! Enjoy!

Gentlemen, I have to tell you, you're not half as surprised as I am to see me topping the list. However, I've a feeling that next week will be one when my Mexican friends find that their representative is counting the days until he gets displaced.

But until then I'm going to enjoy it :). The first three laps, battling with Jjac last night, were absolutely fantastic, but the next twenty-four minutes were spent nervously hanging on for dear life.

Unlucky to IfAndOr, a nasty spike ruined his race near the end. Hopefully we won't have too much of that at Spa.

I suppose it is going to be raining in Belgium Sick?

Cheers, Zo.

The first three laps reminds me the GTP Karting Series, awesome battle with you, but it wasn't my day yesterday, I think I have a chance at Spa ;)

I think you have a very good chance at Spa Jac, the place is beautiful, but I can't drive round it to save my life. However, there are a couple of other chaps who I imagine will keep you company. I'm looking forward to it anyway, racing is what it's about, and I'm honestly not too bothered where I come, as long as I get a good race.

See y'all at Spa 👍

Cheers, Zo.

Hi @Sick Cylinder , can i stay with UK for rocket Friday or should i go Holland as not sure yet if i can make every week ? Cheers

Hi Richroo - stay with Team UK (British Racing Green) and keep the same racing number. The Reserve Driver thing is not really necessary at the moment because the series is under subscribed - it has been useful in the past when we have had full grids.

Hi @Sick Cylinder . I am a friend of @Richoo and interested in joining your Wednesday/Friday racing.. I concider myself a novice, but am improving. .lol. work does dictate my availability but will always join in where possible.

Welcome! I have sent you a friend request via the PS3. Once that has been accepted I'll send a club invitation. The races on Wednesdays and Fridays are held in the lobby of Club 1000875. You will need to select a country colour (e.g. British Racing Green for the UK), a race number and a retro outfit (from a choice of six). The country colours, race numbers and retro outfit details are on page 1 of the thread. If you have any friends who might be interested in joining, feel free to let them know we have spaces available for Wednesday Cobras and Friday Rockets.

Spa is fun. If there are indeed spaces, I could maybe try to squeeze in :)

Can I still use #33? I think in the first race there were 2 of us with same number. Open for suggestions if it is taken.

Sorry can't race tonight Sick:guilty:

Thanks for letting me know John - catch you later.

Yes - 33 will be fine and there will be space - it will be good to see you on track again!

I checked this morning and the friend request that I sent hadn't been accepted - if you haven't seen one, just send one to me before the meeting and I'll accept and then send you the club invitation. The lobby room normally opens at 20:25 and the qualification race starts at 20:35.

All Racers - I will be shortening the Feature Race to 25 minutes for Friday Rockets and Wednesday Cobras. This will be effective from today's round.
