Clean out your PS3, dust, ventilate it, kiss it, kick all the other BluRay jewel cases out of the way, Let your dog lick the bottom of the GT5 disc, make space on your HDD, put an SSD if you can, be already upgraded to the latest firmware, make sure you can Login to the PSN, recharge your controller, get the latest firmware into your wheels, ask the wife to leave you alone for 12 hours straight.

Take a long weekend off, do get up and shower and shave, wash the dishes, kiss your wife, tell her how happy this new game is making you, get her some flowers for no real reason, so that you can play GT6 again for another 24 hours straight, with a cooler set aside with your favorite assortment of imported beers,

Get that new high refresh rate LED TV that's on sale but of good quality, take some air outside, too much gaming isn't good for you, when you come back though, do play GT6 again for a long stretch, try all the cars at least thrice around the ring, don't go for fast laptimes just yet, we'll need several patches for that to happen first, remember to alter the brake bias to gold those special events, and pray to your god, whether fictional or non-fictional, that may there be no B-Spec events to be had, in GT6.

12 hours? More like 48! Give her the money you were gonna have to spend on the PS4 and now don't, and send her off for a weekend at the spa. No, not Francorchamps.

This is madness. I'm already almost kicking my Blu Ray boxes without more GT6 news.

C'mon E3! So many days to wait! :nervous::scared:

I did not hesitate to delete my GT5 game and save data once GT6 was announced. Time to make room for what will hopefully be a more superior game.

Might be in response to that in bold. I guess people don't want to run the risk of hardware failure when it arrives, and I guess a "brand new" PS3 might be the best way to avoid that. It's probably only in jest, mind, given the tone of the thread so far...

Well I'm pretty certain he already has one in working order so I'm wondering why he's buying a new one for GT6.

Ohh okay. I wonder myself. :P lol

I'm going to be deleting GT5 along with its save as well. I'm sure nobody will be playing that game once GT6 ships. :P

Nope, I have been without PS3 for more than a month, YLOD :(, planning to get another slim so I can use the Bluray lens, the fan and PSU as well if possible for spares. The old slim might be able to get fixed if I can take off the CELL's IHS plate and replace the flaky thermal paste + reflow, but I don't think it's worthwhile.
I have the 1st gen CECH20xxx slim, might get 2nd gen CECH25xxx or 3rd gen CECH30xxx - 160GB as I have spare SSD drive now :)

Same here... and even if GT6 does offer a save transfer feature, I'm not doing it... a Gran Turismo Career it's like a ritual... licenses, choose the first used crap car... good times!

I'm in the proccess of cleaning my old 40GB fatty. :)

Also I'll be getting a 320GB HDD so I can download all those DLC tracks without problems. :dopey:

I didn't realize I could expand my HD space with SD's... Now all I have to do is get a new motherboard, and I should be set! No big transferring of data to my external drive, and then re-installation on the bigger drive...

Thanks for accidentally giving me this info!

I replaced my old fatty to a slim (and then upgraded the HDD to 500GB) once GT5 arrived. I wonder if I should get rid of the stupid x360 and buy a SSD to the PS3, to be ready for GT6.

lmao, im pretty sure there wont be that much DLC going on past records, GT6 will be plenty cool but what Kaz say and what Kaz do are rarely the same !!! 320gb would probably fit GT5 + all the DLC 20 times over !!

Even so, a lot of space is nice to have ;)
