Just wondering, what is the PP Limit for GT-O's? I'm afraid that I won't be able to save up 20 mill in time, and I'm not a fan at all of the Corvette Z06. In fact, I'm afraid it will be a pretty long time till I can get the Daytona Coupe! :nervous:
And I'm still only at 3 and a half mill without buying a single car! :scared: Also, who actually so far has gotten a 20 mill car yet? You are probably are going to have a variety problem, Furi. Since this will actually be my first time racing online in a serious series on GTP, so I'm wondering if I should start in GT-O. If that is the case, then I most likely will be using the
507. I tested it out at the ring, and it is just plain fabulous. I'm not entirely sure how high the cars for GT-O are tuned or spec-d, but my 507 has stage 3 weight reduction, stage 1 engine tuning, and everything else(I've found that this seems to be a specific formula for race cars as apposed to the road cars). With oil change runs at 296 BHP. Is this about right for the GT-O class? Too uncompetitive? The top speed it can possibly reach is around 165 MPH.

They all are roughly 470pp. WSC is by the way going ahead. After i'm done with Uni this week and Clio standings tomorrow, expect within a week the grand launch. Also 165-175mph sounds accurate.

But rest assured, the thunder down the mulsanne is coming.

;)

Also me, @SagarisGTB @gtpanoz and a couple others have 20 mill cars. I fully expect GT-P entries to be less in this season and as a result i'll be a little more generous with GT-O positionings. Other changes will include if you do not set a lap in Q, you go to back of the grid overall. Worth pointing out GT-O are very potent beasts. And for future seasons, I can suppose say we'll have more Corvettes (@FlyingFox ;) ) and Chevys and the 250 GTO.

Photo's are 85% done on GT6. Just require image editing and text on around 50%.

EDIT: double post whoops.

Good. It's at 464 PP.

Can anybody confirm if the 2D is eligible?
Considering that it was taken out for being too fast several seasons ago and has been in one race since where it ran unclassified and won by almost two laps overall, I would guess it won't be.

After spending just short of 2 hours this evening doing the Red Bull Challenge I won enough money to buy my car for WSC.

Stand back all, The Fox goes into PT

Why are you all laughing and pointing at me :odd:

Yeah, way too much grip compared to the others. No idea why though. :boggled:

Good news everyone! :D Today I did all of the Red Bull Challenges and now I have enough cash to buy 2 Daytona Coupes! :) And for the next couple of weeks as I attempt to make it to 20 Mil, be sure to note I will at least be running
the Daytona in the prestigious Prototype Class, if I don't convince you about this: You probably know that the Daytona
actually ran in the GT Class, and so my suggestion is to raise the bar for GT-O and use more powerful cars, at around
540-550 PP(This will also increase the competitiveness for the GT-P Class and will also increase the chances of a GT-O
finishing higher than a GT-P and to the extreme actually winning a race). Also, have you done any testing with the 2D
in GT6? Because if there are new tunings for some of the cars it shouldn't be a WSC-Killer anymore. Also, consider the possibility of differences from GT5.

Here's my petition:

Bring back the 2D!!!

Trying to take over WSC from Furi? Good luck with that.

I think I speak for a number of past participants in the series when I say that it's exactly the lower powered class that is very attractive the way it is/was, and making it into a second prototype class in performance doesn't solve problems that weren't there in the first place.

Also, don't believe for a second, that the best lower class vehicle will finish in front of the whole GT-P class in any endurance race. With any field of decent drivers, even 1-2 seconds difference in laptime is too much to make up, if at least one decent driver is in GT-P class. And usually, there's enough of them.

And lastly, assuming the 2D still has similar charcateristics as in GT5, it might be better to leave it out than to attempt balancing it with the other cars. Because we all know what's happening then. 2D is too fast, then gets restricted, making it slow on straights, people start complaining that their 2D is too slow and they can't keep up on straights...it's an endless cycle.

Pretty much. It's got inexplicably high grip which makes it by the far the fastest car through corners (and the most consistent) and yet is comparatively slow in a straight line, especially at the top end. So trying to balance it is impossible as you say.

👍

I would reply to this, but all this:

Is what I have to say :).

As far as progess goes - just taken final car pics (GT-O Jaguar) - the banners, posters, all ready. Now the writing and part lists remain. Certainly, this is gathering pace ;)
