We already know you're running more downforce which is pointless.

You won't be as racy as the cars around you.
Firstly, no i'm not. Secondly, 3x 3rds in testing (with unlucky last stages) show it works to some extent.

Thirdly,
If you want to be able to go side-by-side through corners without risk, add some aero.

I don't see us having many cautions once the field starts spreading out. It'll mainly be single file and there won't be pack racing since you only pick up draft once you're half a second behind someone, and the dirty air makes following another car tricky. Cautions will probably come from mistakes on old tyres, where someone understeers into the wall and collects someone else after, or an oversteer spin on old tyres.

I remember one incident in a test race, where me and Fox were going 2-wide through T3 but made slight contact. I hit the wall and speared across the track into Fox who the also spun.

If you've got the balance of the car right you will be able to run min aero easily, all your issues with understeer can be worked out using toe and ride height.

And something else... ;)

But still more aero would help tyres.

In terms of quali this week, if none of my teammates are available to watch my run, does that mean i'm out?

No, just if you do get a teammate to watch you you need someone else who's not a team member as well.

It would help tyres, but so would dropping a few tenths back from the pack and lifting into the corners. Full aero is great if you want to battle in a pack from lap 1-180, but the last few laps you will get left for dead because you will be down on top speed. The points are handed out at the end of the race for where you finish, not for going 3 wide for a whole lap.

Ta 👍

I'll probably be making my run tomorrow... or whenever anyone's online.

True. Also in draft tyres will wear even more. It's not going to be 224mph Q laps solo for 199 laps.

6 Quali spots for the 500. I am available to Q people for the next hour, but unavailable tomorrow.
