I won a championship in a RWD that was slow on the straights, no need to complain about them :P:D
ToCA driving standards ensure that you're blocked to death every corner. It's the absolute most frustrating thing in the world.

R1 last week was good, because I got a hold of quali for once. R2 showed how traffic affects it, with easy top 5 pace, but being kept back in 11th the whole way.

Key is learning to make the most out of the starts and predicting where the gaps are going to appear, ideally you want to be into the top 5 after the first lap or two.

I've really optimised my first gear for the starts now. I'm just a little too kind sometimes, I don't like the all-out ramming straight from the word go.

No need to ram, if you can predict everyone else well enough, you can get through the field in a lap without touching anyone (and with a little bit of luck), it's surprising how much some of you guys trip over each other sometimes :P

The number of times this season i've been driving a smooth first lap, only to get piled off onto the grass, is pretty unacceptable.

Hopefully, I can some good starts now, and work my way up.

The ramming has definitely gone down since penalties were applied in a more harsh manner.

It's better to be a driver who is kind and forgiving than someone who constantly forces and barges their way through. I don't know what you were like prior to "getting your act together" but to me you are one of the cleanest drivers on the grid and I respect you more for it. I drove a RWD BMW in ITCC and was in exactly the same situation as you.

Sure you may finish higher by being more aggressive, but it won't increase your popularity. Eventually, nobody will want to race with you and you should end up with a string of penalties for the aggression along with the bad reputation.

@hsv was pretty much last season the worst guy ever to race around. Yet, he has improved massively this season. There's people out there I know I can race and I feel confident with. I can think "I know he'll leave room, I know he'll brake here, I know he won't go and punt me".

And then you get me who just says "🤬 you Furi" :dopey: and rams you off the track with uncontrollable laughter. :D

I thought you were going to say something like "I didn't lap you considering we were teammates" :P

No, Furi was paid with the odd podium and a win, there was nothing in the contract saying I couldn't embarrass him for the rest of the races. (Well there probably was, but who cares about contracts anyway) :D

Last season I was the unholy combination of Maldonado and Can'tamasas.

Sergio Canamasas. Put it this way:
