Qualifying works in two parts - Drivers in Championship Top 12 are "locked in" and do not need to appear in the lobby until Q2. The rest of the drivers have to Qualify through Q1 for the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th lobby spots. If any Top 12 drivers are unavailable then this will free up Qualifying spots - for instance if 1 Top 12 driver is absent, there will be 5 Q1 transfer spots.

In the sense that there's a race 1, 2, and 3. Not familiar with this level of touring cars so it always seemed odd to me. I know this is how it's always been but man this looks cool.
