Sorry guys that's a very bad start for me.. I hope it does not happen anymore.

my thoughts:
First of all sorry that I haven't read the OP before(did not pay attention to yellow flag and track settings), I also thaught race started 7p.m GMT, but wasn't the case. Then, I made a couple of laps, and accidently I quited to pits and lost my position, okay no problem until here, I'm gonna catch up.

But race sayed no. After like 3 laps, huge crash: A Lexus spin off in front of me provoking massive crash. Okay everyone slows down, i go pit next lap I'm good in the last positions.. Then race takes off again, but, first corner again another crash right in front of me, again.. Everyone slows down again.. I pit and here I am 15 position (thanks to the slow pit crew of the other racer xD)

Here race takes off, I have a lot to catch. Passing the first guys takes some time, the leading group goes away. But, I am approaching the other group of car slowly but surely. I didn't take into account the very small little obstacle in my corner in one of my lap (the one just before the huge straight) and then I lost really all my hope..

I'm really sorry, but I anyways had to leave a moment or another in my race, it would last too long, also considering the huge time spent running laps at slow speed with accidents.

Hope next time I will prepare myself better for the race :)

Boring race for me while I was there, got damaged on the first lap as there was a lot of lag around me then pitted and by the end of the 2nd caution I was up to 8th and after @Yeratel84, @Ninners and @Stylel_Code got past I was stuck in no mans land then gained a few places before @Furinkazen made contact with me at forrest elbow causing me to go into the wall and giving me damage.

Then spent the next stint until lap 32 when I spun on conrod straight after getting a wheel on the grass and got damage, then pitted and disconnected which saved me around 1 & 1/4 hours alone apart from getting lapped.

3l too short :(

The race was lost in the last stint effectively, had to rush on fuel as my wheel had come lose and I decided to push it back in and put less than I wanted then lost the position I had gained by overcutting mole. :/

GW R1600!

But very happy that I managed to take the fight to mole in terms of pace for once! Knew this was one of my best tracks.

Also apologies orama or lap 16 move. Had braked a bit too late and had the option of ramming you up the back or having to avoid you by cutting the corner a little bit which would have meant some contact... Chose Option 2.

I only noticed it happened because the proximity indicator came up  I ain't even mad, I enjo lap 1-63

Decent quali, bad start.
Long, lonely race. Was a lap behind 10th and a lap ahead of 12th for a while.
Had a few moments. Ended up having to pit as R1600 went past to win (Well done!).
Came out behind Chuck. So I think I ended up 11th, which isn't last so that's good.

A 2:06.0 was all I was achieving pre race, and I thought it would be enough to get me comfy top 5. I scraped 9th after traffic and issues in Quali meant I coulndn't get a clean lap in. Then I pulled a 2:05.2 to 5th out. Good race start, kept it clean and ran my own race. Had a small scrape with the wall on the end of my stint but would have pitted that lap anyway. I was in a funny place with a couple good battles with @Yeratel84 , the leaders would come out behind me but mid stint catch me. Bathurst being one of my best laps and with a really good handling car, I was holding them up, every stint  , I did this with @R1600Turbo for around 4 laps.

So later on in the whole pit sequence, I was holding @Andil @Ninners @R1600Turbo up. Tyres were something like 7 on fronts but I wasn't giving up at all, and some ridiculous 2x2 racing on straights, with some bumping as well from the Erebus guys :P . It culminated in me not getting steered onto the straight after Hell Corner and perhaps a minor touch with an Erebus. Suddenly 3 wide and R1600 gets us all. Incredible racing, and happy I was able to hold off Nin some more. Brilliant fair racing from all of you. 👍

@raceorama123432 was best Cadillac guy on track all day though, and spun before PD decided to hand grenade his car. My spin in avoidance nearly let @smuffyatfcp by in a wheel banging finish. 4th falls into my lap.

All in all, wonderful racing tonight.

Youdid good on keeping out the way. 👍 as did chuck

That was a hard, hard race! Very tough to keep concentration for that long but great challenge.

Off the start, got done off the line by R1600 and that somewhat dictated my first stint, just settling behind him, not really ever able to make a pass because of the slight straight line advantage from the Lexus.

Wanted to try and get an undercut on R1600 but he pitted the same lap as I wanted to, so 2nd stint was more or less the same again - until I missed my braking point for T1 and rear ended him... Duhhh.. Sorry mate. I have one of the telegraph poles on the right as my brake marker and I just mis-counted them, and realised too late

That meant I got damage and so did R1600, he pitted, I elected to stay out, but was losing ~1sec/lap, trying to stick to my pit strategy. In hindsight I should have pitted and changed to a 4-stop.

When I pitted for 3rd time, I intended to go to the end, but with 12 laps to go, and after a magnificent fight with @Ninners @R1600Turbo and @Furinkazen, I found myself in the lead (not really sure how) with the right-front tyre just turning to "7", with 12 laps to go. So made the decision to play it safe (I had enough fuel, just wasn't sure I'd be able to keep the car out of the barrier with crap tyres!) and pit again. Probably was a good call, I think I'd only have ended up in the barrier otherwise. Nice 2nd place (thanks Nin, nice Ferrari-style team orders ;)) and good points, will take that!

Big congrats to @R1600Turbo, that was a hell of a race!

Well, what can I say, I finally managed to do something right for a change.

My plan before the race was to pit every 16 laps, so I did pit at the end of lap 16. Unfortunately a lap or two later @Andil found my rear bumper going into turn one. That gave me slight damage, but it was enough that on right hand corners the car wanted to loop around. I couldn't stick it out so was forced to pit. From there I quickly calculated in my head that if I could stretch the tires to 23-24 laps, I could pit one more time and probably make it to the finish.

Managed to stay ahead of Andil and Ninners for a while and as I got closer to my stop I was fighting back the urge to pit early on lap 40. But since I was still ahead of them at the time I stuck it out for another couple laps. (By the way guys, all you had to do was get up next to me and I would have let you by :P) Came in at the end of 42 and topped off the tank. I think the 4 car battling we did for the lead helped me fuel wise because most of the time I was just cruising waiting for something bad to happen. When they had a minor scuffle out of the first corner, I had a run and took my chance. Almost screwed it at turn 2 but was able to get it under control. Then just focused on running some good laps.

Was watching the laps count down and my fuel gauge get lower and lower. Keeping a third eye on Ninners and trying to maintain the gap, all the while short shifting and just trying to take it easy on the car. When I crossed the line for the last lap, I knew then I would be able to make it so just cruised home the last lap. I maybe could have made it 1 more lap, but no further than that.

Crazy race! When I had to pit for damage I thought for sure it was all over. Anyone save the replay that can email the file to me? Always forget to save it...

Haha :P

But yeah I was 50/50 whether to pit again but fuel was tight so I wasn't sure so I hanged out as long as I could. I was saving fuel from around lap 51 (pretty sure R1600 was as he wasn't pulling away) but then at the end of lap 64 my fuel was literally on zero so decided to pit and not risk losing more time creeping around with no fuel

The tyres were fine too. I was doing 07s with loads of fuel saving so maybe a mid-low 06 if I was really pushing at the end.

Just watched this on the replay, surprised you even made it to the pitlane on the penultimate lap! That was properly running on fumes on pit entry

@R1600Turbo what do you need, just the replay file exported and uploaded somewhere? I can do that.

It's been a while, can't remember how to do it. Export to USB, maybe put them in a zip file and email it over?

I'm glad I disconnected honestly. The Mustang had no chance.
I'd rather have that happen to me instead of you, cnd. I was as bad as @ranhammerR34, at best. :(

And in response to @Panoz saying the Mustangs needing steroids in the post-race chat, don't you mean lasix?

Couple items did not make me happy tonight.

Not best time, but Connor drops from 1st to 9th (!) in the pts :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:

@CAMikaze issued with a 50 point penalty for continued dangerous driving, blocking in qualifying and poor race driving.

Bear in mind PEC standings are combined crew scores, and FFS-FAS and ABRA CADABRA had driver changes from Motegi.
