They actually came like that from the factory :yuck: - minus the hideous aftermarket rear lights and different wheels.

Honestly, I think the new wheels make it look better. But, as stated, you can't really polish a turd.

I like it in a hideous, tacky, 90s sort of way.

It looks like it was given to chav who reads both Redline and Max Power who the promptly crashed through the chav section of Halfords

It is a very odd looking Subaru. The other S20* models look far nicer and there is also an S204 legacy model of which I have seen one floating around Wellington.

BTW you can polish a turd.

That's surprising. It's been home at the manufacturer's museum since its reveal. Wonder if they're making room.
It's not the one in the museum. There is 2 Concept S, one is a high window one with no engine in it which is at the Lambo museum and the one for sale the low window one that was somewhat of production version and it has an engine in it .

You're right. Apparently, this car went to her owner after Pebble Beach 10 years ago in Canada & has only just resurfaced.

Uh, how rare is a 190E Evolution 2? Are they worth this much or is the owner overpricing it? I honestly don't know.

I saw this when I was trying to look up the price of a used 190E Cosworth. hehe
Oh and I also love the Renault 5 Turbo that's next to it.
But they were selling it for $400,000 more about a month ago. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fs-rare-sales.103759/page-26#post-10795740

$300,000 still way, way too much. Slash it to $100-150,000 & you might be able to really push the 1-of-1 in the US despite that mileage.

So it is overpriced, I just wanted to make sure on that. Thanks.

I'm still surprised to see an old 190E Mercedes priced so high.

I've seen those for sale for as little as 50k euros, but I guess the used car dealership didn't know what they had.. Even now there's a 2.3 Cossie for sale in Finland for 7800 euros.

But yeah, definitely overpriced, he's trying to scam a rich person. While the car is special and somewhat rare, it's not 300k USD special :P

Nicest example I found from mobile.de lists at 125k euros, with far less miles.

Mint low milage examples were going for, in Europe, about £70k a couple of years ago. $300k is extortionate, even if it is the only one on US soil. If they're now getting beyond the 25 year rule, there will surely soon be others. There were 500 of them made, so they're not that rare. 80,000 miles is high milage for this kind of car. I'd be more interested in the R5 Turbo II.

I'd seen £70k examples a few years back too. $300k is steep, but considering that all classic car prices are getting a bit out of hand currently, it seems about right, unfortunately.

On a side note, that R5 and that 190 would do my quite nicely as a two-car dream garage :D

It's not even the only one on US soil. I'm in Pennsylvania of all places and I've seen one.

I've also seen another one for sale in the US once, but I forgot where I found the page. I'd image that it wouldn't be too hard to import either.

Though, I wouldn't buy one anyway; I probably would just go find the one of the 2.3-16v Cosworth models that was sold here in the US.

Oh nice, so their original ad was also misleading. Is it for sale?

Don't think so, it's at a Mercedes dealer but the owner keeps his personal collection inside the dealer, mostly on the upper level (which is open to anybody who comes in!) but this was on the showroom floor. Nothing indicating its for sale.
