Back in my days of working in a grocery store, yes, eggs were (and still are) part of the dairy section. Stored in the same cooler and sold alongside the milk, cheese, etc. All handled by the dairy department. We called them "Dairy Fairies".

It's okay. Most people don't like being corrected publicly. I understand your embarrassment.

I stated that eggs are part of the Dairy section in a grocery store. Which they are.
