The joke doesn't work with the NATO flag though. It's saying that the EU think they're equal with the US hen the US are actually pushing them along.

Yea, and there's never any mention as to how much military equipment we get for that cost. Yes it's a high number, but it's also made in the USA, which is increasingly expensive (and why Nike's are made overseas for example). So what do we get for our spending? No one knows, but I don't think there's a lot of value for our spending.
