HOLLYWOODLAND was the original, wooden sign. The original posts, or the stumps of, are still there. I know, i've climbed up the current sign

Bigger than you think when up close. Must be 50ft up when you climb to the top. Great view of the city below. Especially at night once the smog had lifted.
