G25 shifter Mod [new shift knob]

Been wanting to do this mod for some time now. Finally got around to biting the
bullet and modified the g25 shifter shaft. I used a spare shift knob I made for
my car. After dropping it on the ground, it was deemed unworthy, and tossed
into a box. Turned out to be just fine for GT. Little bit of cutting, welding and
grinding and the shaft was back in the case, like nothing happend. The knob is
a lot heavier than the original plastic one. The extra weight is definitely an improvement.

With the extra weight does it still stay upright okay when in SEQ mode?

Anyone know where I can buy a threaded shaft similar to that but the same diameter all the way through??? I need one for my SST shifter to change the knob...

The difference in weight is actually less than I thought. The original weighs 40 grams, and the knob I put is around 100 grams. The centering spring doesn't really have a problem in the seq. mode. It barely bounces back and forth, definitely not enough to initiate another gear change.

Yes, I'm using a similar set up as chilicoke, he's a friend of mine. He designed it,
