Hi all,
I’ve had an intermittent issue when racing online dailies over the past few days. During a race it can randomly freeze for around 2 secs and then carriers on fine, problem being I loose the time and sometimes places
Anyone else experience this ?
My connection is all fine and it’s only started since the recent update

It could be that your ingame storage is full - you can check that in the game settings. If so, delete some replays.
EDIT:
I don't think this helps with the issue on PS4 which is there since the last patch

Same issue, PS4 slim. Re-install did not help. It happens during race both in online and offline. Mostly about every third lap or something.

Me too. Also regular old PS4. It's weird because in-race, the screen freezes for a second or two, and I hope and pray for the best, then it unfreezes as if the time was skipped. But in the replay, I just instantaneously lose that second or two and am further back than I was. Hope it gets fixed soon, I lost 3 positions heading into one corner at Spa last night in GTWS.

PS5 here and this is really obvious in the GTWS races with the mixed grids, it looks like the PS4 players are playing a slideshow with the car stuttering all the way down the straight. I thought it was lag at first but they never get the time back.

Hello.
This happens to me since day one on GT7. I Even installed an SSD in the PS4, but it still happens.
Sometimes the game freezes for more than 4 seconds.
I tried everything I know, cleand the ps4 and changed thrmal paste, changed the thermal pads, got a new ISP.... Ah well, I'm on the PS4 fat 2nd gen

I haven't spent much time online but from what I've played I haven't had any issues on my fat ps4. Some of my friends had issues on Spa with the weather though.

Hi All,
Wanted to add my issue to this thread. Also for me the latest update from GT7 has random freezing issues. It will happen both in Sport Mode as well as non-online activity. I just raced daily race B where it froze 2x for ~1.5s each time. When this happens the race advances and I lose the time on the track. I am running GT7 on standard PS4 hardwired to my router with 300+ Mbps download. I have tried: rebuilding database in safe mode, reinstalling GT7 software, moving GT7 software to USB SSD. Non of this has worked. Below is a link when it happened during online time trial challenge:

This issue has been reported to PDI and this thread has now been linked to them.

I use a PS4 Pro and was in the same lobby as skippy when he got the glitch. I didn't get it then and I haven't noticed any on my own, so it may be limited to specific hardware. I will keep an eye out for them, though.

I've had some issues where the game will stutter badly in single player races. Yesterday in the Daily A race it went into a kind of auto drive mode. When that exited, the Lambo was out of control and I got nailed with a penalty. Usually when it stutters I get a penalty or disqualified.
I'm on a PS5 disc edition with the game installed to a 500GB Crucial SSD. The install is a 25th Anniversary disc but I run it with a Standard Edition PS5 disc.

Yes! Happens in public lobbies too, no surprise. I've also had it happen when I've been the only person in the room so it's not anything to do with other players joining. For however long it freezes is how much time you lose on the lap, so it doesn't behave like network lag either because you wouldn't lose the laptime, only the current location information

I am on a PS4 slim(?) And the only "jumping" lag I've seen is in multiplayer lobby and definitive after the 1.26 update, I know in daily races PD has segregated PS4 players from the PS5 players to alleviate the skip/ jump lag.
Prior to 1.26 the only lag I would find in lobbies is other cars skipping slightly left and right in turns when close to each other but now post 1.26 the jumping is everywhere as you drive the scenery jumps with a .5 second rythm beat, not much but noticeable.
Go to a Sardena track and watch the windmills stutter, and you also hear the tyres "chirp" at this .5 beat also.

This is my last entry for this. Nothing more I can do. I decided to try factory reset after all, down loaded the system software from playstation.com and reinstalled this. Then while waiting for the complete GT7 software download I decided to try the music rally with following result:
