Hey everyone, I managed to find something you guys will be interested. First off the article below is a first hand description of some ones experience with the TGS demo of GT5. The read is nothing new however, right at the bottom of the page is some very welcome news.

'On Saturday, September 26 (in Japan), GameSpot will be heading to Polyphony Digital to check out more of GT5 and talk with series creator Kazunori Yamauchi. If you've got a question or two about the game, put it in the comments below, and who knows, we just might be able to get it answered on your behalf.'

Fingers crossed these guys pin Kaz down and we actually get our major advancement. Hope this helps.

Josh

Well maybe this is why the presentation was a little vague.

Maybe they are going to invite all the journo's for a full on PD conference type thing.

I recon we will get a lot of the answers we have been looking for.

Saturday will be Friday for a lot of us won't it?

Lets just hope that Gamespot get this up on the website quickly.

Gran Turismo 5 having it's own conference during the middle or at the end of TGS would be great - especially if the "major advancement" is revealed there. A full features list would be nice also. :sly:

I guess you saw this in the TGS thread. I have a gamespot account and can post there. I will post some questions by 7PM EST.

Nice that this is in it's own thread now though, since the TGS thread is getting fairly large and stuff get's lost quick.

Edit: Since I'm in the USA, this should be posted tonight, correct?

someone ask about european date release, changes of weather, qualify sessions before race, costumization of livery:tup:

depends on what time the interview takes place. if its done in the morning before noon then if should be if its done in the afternoon then it would be on in the early hours of Saturday.

but honestly guys do you think there will really be a GT5 press conference that will be held at the last minute unannounced?

I hope he will clear things out if we in the west and Europe suffer again the long delay or it is a worldwide launch. Not another smile from his face and no answer.

and by the way my goodness this is a GT race and there are so smokes from the tires from road interaction from braking, skid, drift. I hope he clear things out about that.

Knowing Kaz, if you can roll over the cars, the bottom side of every car will be 100% accurate.

You are probably right, I was just thinking about how much more work that is to model all that junk under there. Although, a lot of newer cars cover all their garbage with plastic panels for aerodynamics so, maybe not such a big deal.

But for EVERY one of those 950 or so cars!? I could see why the game would keep getting delayed. That's a lot of work. :scared:

Well, they only wanted one or two questions, so I hope I didn't turn them off with five. I cannot edit my post and I will not post any more. That would appear unprofessional.

I'm obviously interested in the interview buy I hate Gamespot so much. They used to be awesome and credible. Now they are just corrupt garbage 👎

What'd they do that's so corrupt? (I'm legitimately asking, I have no idea)

A long time ago, there was a scandal where Jeff Gerstmann ( basically one of the founders ) refused to give an inflated score to a game simply because that games publisher spent a lot of advertising money at Gamespot.

He was actually fired over it and in the following months virtually EVERY SINGLE reviewer quit and said they left because of how corrupt things had gotten over there.

Once upon a time it was built by gamers for gamers but as it grew and grew and more money was at stake it basically got taken over by the board room and politics.

The people they have there now are the people who are willing to shut up, and do what they are told.

You just can't be sure if they are giving the scores and saying the things they are saying because it's true or because they fear losing advertiser revenue.

And maybe this is true for every site out there, I don't know. But in this case it was REALLY a scandal and completely blatant.

Haven't you just copied and pasted SrRd RacinG's post, whilst adding the link to your own forum instead of GTPlanet?

It looks that way. 👎

I am sure that was the HAZE review.
