Hey just a thought. Seeing as the first track was mentioned as the Indy Road course I wondeder what a good time in the Integra would be?

Using a controller I got round in 1:35.4xx. Bet this is crud isn't it?

There are other factors besides the bhp and weight that have to be taken into account. Air displacement is a major factor, as is the distance of the front and back wheels from each other.

Here's a perfect example: Take the C63AMG and the BMW M3 Coupe from the premium dealership, tune them to the exact same bhp and weight specs, and race them against each other. I will guarantee you that the BMW M3 Coupe will completely outclass the C63 AMG if the two drivers are of equal skill. I know this because I race with some friends who are right on the same skill level as I am, and we did this type of race. The restrictions were 500bhp, 1400kg. I tuned the C63AMG to those specs, and my friends tuned BMW M3 Coupe and BMW M5 to those specs. The C63 AMG was just completely outclassed every time. When I moved over to a BMW of the same specs, I saw the same thing they did as far as lap times go.

That's why I like the PP system - it takes into account much more than bhp and weight.

If you drive a well enough line, you can go a pretty long time without having to pit. That's why mandatory pits are in - to add a whole other dynamic to it. Chances are, the cleaner and more skilled driver will only have to pit that one time every 100-150km or so, but a less skilled driver will have to pit multiple times. It also depends on the tires chosen, too. Racing hards seem to wear down pretty fast on curvy tracks because they skid more, but racing softs with their massive grip on the corners will be fine.

I don't understand how air displacement has anything to do with anything when we're all racing the same car. And so far no one has explained, that I can see, how you police that a car has certain mods on it or not.

Every car has its own CC rating, we use the same car so the CC rating is always the same. If we use different cars in a race, there could be one car that has the really high CC which is an advantage over the lower CC cars. That is why we all use the same car. I'm sure eventually people will make racing series' with more then 1 car that are fairly even, but until then we rather use only one car.
