Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei have been sharing balance test footage of Dead or Alive 5 these past few days. Below, you’ll find five different clips of test footage, along with notes from Team Ninja for the two test combo videos. Just keep in mind that this is all from a build of the game that’s still in development.

Jann Lee vs. La Mariposa

Bayman vs. Tina

Tina vs. Ayane

Street Fighter X Tekken Producer Talks Rebalancing
Tomoaki Ayano
"We nerfed Ryu’s Hurricane Kick a bit by reducing the hit box and reduced the number of frames of advantage it has." "Every character is getting some kind of gameplay fix or rebalance like Rolento’s standing jab.

One of the biggest changes is the auto-block gem, which was designed to make Street Fighter X Tekken more accessible, has been adjusted. "In terms of gems, we’re rebalancing the auto-throw and auto-block gems. These were gems initially intended for beginners, but as it turns out they are really good for experienced players as well. We’re going to increase the amount of [super] meter they take as well as the number of gem slots they take. In addition to that, the auto-block gem used to only drain your meter if you blocked incorrectly. Now it will drain your meter even if you block normally. Basically, you won’t have any super meter for the entire battle if you select this."

So two things:

First, I just made this video:

Secondly, new english version of the Combot trailer, featuring new stuffs:

Hmmm, interesting reverse art for Latin America. I was gonna point out an inaccuracy with one of the characthers until I relized their portrayal is actually culturally correct 👍

How about no.

:P

Did you not see the smiley? Was just kidding since AOS wasn't posting anything.

Edit: Just saw video and what an ass (Not the guy, the person that made the message). I'll admit that I don't really know a damn thing about the fighting game community, but morons like him certainly wouldn't make me feel good about joining it.

Before 2009, the FGC never ever had any help for incoming newbies. You learn through time and experience. Once in awhile, you get a hand from a friend then you learn on your own. Now, SRK has the newbie forum and Max creates the Assist Me series that defeats the purpose of learning through defeat.

I'm only guessing this, but I'm assuming you don't like this? Would that make you one of "them"?

Anything that "kills" the fighting game community as it is now can only be seen as a good thing in my opinion.

All the better if it is something that makes it more open to others.

No. That's the presented argument against it.

My mistake then. I watched the video and listened to the guy talk about the attitude of those guys. It comes off to me as a very elitist and not at all inclusive. Interestingly, I sort of grew up around the time of the Arcades (though mostly I was around the Midway titles so saw MK alot and maybe alittle Primal rage maybe once) so I have seen those long lines of people playing. I'm against the old mentality too because like Max said, its not some sort gang or whatever.

I think my staple story was, I was playing T5 at a arcade and a guy decides to challenge me in front of his girlfriend. 5 Games later he starts asking his girlfriend for money and she wouldn't give it to him. After being denied more tokens, he asked me how long I was playing. I said around 3-5 years ( but didn't give him the fact I was playing since Tekken Vanilla) then I told him that I suck. He didn't believe me then the couple left.

Agreed. I was essentially excommunicated from SRK for not running Third Strike at my tournaments. Keep in mind that this was in 07, right before Smash Bros. Brawl was released. Eventually, I said, "to heck with them" and did my own thing. I'm glad I did.

That being said, SRK is only one part of the whole FGC. However, they are the main lifeblood of Evolution, the biggest console tournament in the world. This presents three problems.

One is that their "elitism", while out of bounds, is somewhat justified as the tournament directors of EVO only announce news about the tournament through SRK either in their podcasts or by other means that ensures that they get the news first. Heck, if they could, there would have been a gag order placed on said news to ensure exclusivity for a set time.

Two is that you are not considered a real TO on SRK if you don't offer "approved" games. Of course this means that approved games are, SFIV AE, UMvC3, SFxT, or any other current Capcom game. I bailed on one tournament because I became so pissed off at only offering the same old games over and over again.

Finally is that if you are a fan of other franchises or companies, then you better bail on SRK. It gives them a "license to attack", especially if you are new to the site because their brand of idiocy is "the only way", kind of like the difference between Occupy and the Tea Party.

Otherwise, SRK is a pretty funny place.

Really mad P4A lets you change audio to Japanese, but everything else in the game is great. Whats the point in buying the English version of the game then switch the audio to Japanese when you can't understand it?
