General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

I am currently sitting in the office with the my new copy of GTA SA on my desk. Man i can't wait to get home. But I have to take the missus out to dinner when I get in :( Still, dinner and a nice neclace I bought for her and she wont mind me spending a few hours on it tonight!! I might even get a special treat!! ;)

I have a problem with my missus not liking me playing on the PS2 whilst she's around... seriously limits my time and progess in SA.

Special treat? You gonna give her a pearl necklace?!?

Doe's anyone here have any idea where I can get a 'Euros' or 'Journey'?
 
^ I am pretty lucky in that way .... that I get serious GTA SA time. the wife just got an accounting manager position with a new company, and she is doing CGA courses online ( Certified General Accountants) So, I play ALOT now....of course she doesn't mind, I got her a really nice MP3 player, so she can listen to earphoned music and my PS2 wont bother it !
 
Weird stuff is happening in my game... Ive only done 23 missions yet but heres some odd things Ive found:

When riding a BMX bike, do a Endo untill your bike is almost vertical, then press Triangle to get off. Now if done right CJ should be standing on the bikes back tire, and the front tire should be stuck partially in the ground.

Another odd thing that happened to me recently was when I was riding the BMX bike around downtown Los Santos. I bunnyhopped onto a small ledge into a nose-manual. At the end of this ledge there was a bench that I broke as I was riding off the edge. For this I got a 3 star wanted level!

Ive yet to see a helicopter (other than the police ones that chase me) but Ive been flying the private jet a lot. One time I decided to fly as far out to sea as I could. I flew for about 30 minutes at full speed with no walls in sight, and Im pretty sure I could have flown for hours without finding any barriers. Its wild to think of the programming power R* has If they can make a never ending map.

This game is nuts.

If your plane just keeps going without ever stopping and continues further away from the city, then Rockstar have just made the same sea area keep repeating and reloading. It's not like they created an infinite map and stuck it on a DVD.

I'm seriously loving this game so far, but I have one complaint.

The radio is a bit ****. I don't like rap. I don't like funk. I don't like dance. I don't like country.

The only radio stations I like to listen to are K-DST and Radio-X and they're both seriously hit and miss. Radio-X is a bad mixture. It should have been either an alternative rock station or an alternative pop station. Guns'n'Roses and Rage Against The Machine just don't fit in well with The Stone Roses and Depeche Mode.

And K-DST is some good classic rock mixed in with some awful auld ****e.

The soundtrack in Vice City was far better. I could stick V-Rock on an listen to it continuously without changing because they were all cool songs. And if I wanted I could always tune into Flash / Emotion / Wave and pick up something else cool from the 1980s.

It's my only real complaint so far. They should have ditched half the stations and replaced them with some real good rock and pop selections from the early 90s.

When you reach Hitman for a weapon, I have for the SMG and M4, can you dual-wield them or is it for certain weapons? The M4 i'm sure you cannot dual-wield, but what about the SMG. I remember seeing on one of the notices about Hitman level and dual-wielding.

You can duel wield smaller SMGs and handguns I think, but not the SMG, AK47 or M4.

I've got hitman for the SMG and AK47. Obviously you can't duel wield a weapon like the AK47 or M4. Who can operate an assault rifle with one hand?

But then again, who could accurately dual wield Uzi's at full auto?
 
Now that I have finished the main story I have been doing alot of side missions, like the Import/Export crap. I am pulling my hair out!!! I know Ive asked before but does anyone have any idea where or what the "Euros" and "Journey" is!!!!!
 
I just saw the coolest thing in a GTA game so for........

I was driving around in the desert and I looked in my review mirror,and saw a plane flying really low and puffing black smoke,and then I heard a big explosion. :D

god I love this game!!!


Oh and I know I shouldn't ask this here,but I really don't feel like looking in all the threads for it. So can someone please tell me what city,and where at in the city is the import/export garage?
 
Anyway, I got here late. According to urbandictionary.com, OG means:

I played 2 player today. If the 2 players get too far apart, it wont let you go off screen. It zooms out to a point where it tells you that you have to get closer together. I was disappointed. The 2 player rampage would only let you rampage with the SMG, micro SMG, and pistols. Very limited. I was very disappointed. 👎

Very much agreed. Radio:X is on and off, and half the time, I don't like K-DST. I like K-Jah West when I'm doing things with my Gang, and WCTR can be hilarious. I laughed when I heard the song "Lowrider".

Also, you can Dual-Weild Pistols (only a couple though), Uzis and, wait for it, you can Dual-Weild Sawn-Off Shotguns!

Ha ha ha very funny, but do you really think anyone is that dumb, i always turn of my ps2 when im not using it, i look after it quite well, i just think its getting old might buy one of those p2two mini things.

Im sure the Journey is that RV campervan, thing. And i think the Euros is a small 2 door thing looks similar to a "uranus' or a "cadrona".

There's a Desert Eagle to the right of Zero's RC Shop.

You can eventually buy one in Ammunation, too. I think you can eventually buy every weapon in Ammunation, but I'm not sure.
 
I just found a rear twin prop plane in the country called "beagle".
