General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

I went over to that military fuel depot in L.V. to check for the Skycrane. It wasn't there, but there was another type of chopper that I have not seen before. A CargoBob :P it's really big and has a cargobay, but I don't think you can open it... I would take a Skycrane over the Bob any day.

So would I, but thank you alot for confirming that. I was hoping so much for the SkyCrane. I wonder if it is in fact anywhere in the game?

Did you try playing with the Right Analog sticks and buttons, and Circle and L1 to see if the CargoBob did anything?

Yeah I saw one in the no fly zone the other day, I'd like to fly it but I would have been snapped by the SAMs.

Yeah I tried every button a and stick direction. I thought it was working at first cause the bay door was half open, but it seem like its always that way, even when I got a new one...

Whew! That guy's second mission is next to impossible for people like me. As I have repeated many times I almost completed it but, yeah I didn't complete it.

For the 2nd zero mission it is waaaay faster (and safer!) to land the RC plane behind your target and then blast it from on the ground. This means that you don't have to circle around again and thus you save a lot of fuel.

Found out the same thing. Its a cool looking helicopther none the less. You can also fly it if you go into area 69.

Ah, btw, is there any way to get into area 69 without getting all the stars? Like in ViceCity? There you had to put on a cop's uniform and then you could just stroll into the army base. I'm currently dating the cop, because I've read that the 100% reward is a uniform.

Oh really? That's a definate plus to get 100%. I think I'll do that. In fact, some time down the track I will. Then, like always, I'll kill her. Thanks for that bit of information, very useful. Does anyone know what the other Girlfriends' rewards are? This is very promising now to date them all to 100%.

Where'd you find that out?

There is a whole faq written about it :)

Rewards for dating Barbare (the cop) :

"Reward:
-------
- For dating: You get out of jail free after being arrested, and you get to
keep all of your guns!

- At 50%: You'll get the keys to her Ranger (one of those police SUVs you
always see in rural areas).

- At 100%: You'll get a cop outfit, which is the standard blue uniform worn by
the police in the game."

--------

I'll go play some more right now, need to know if this will work!

Sorry, didn't check it after I posted. I edited the post.

Anyways, I finished the cop-dating and I'm sorry to say that it doesn't work... It doesn't help you get into AREA 69 without getting any stars.

The good thing is that, when you get arrested, you don't lose your weapons.

Guys today I passed the Farewell my love mission, well I think I found something quite interesting.

At the end when you end, you see catalina with a non speaking guy that looks VERY like Tommy Vercetti from GTA3, and the girls says they are going to Liberty City, and isn't catalian the girl that betrays you at the begging of GTA3??

Sorry is this has already been said

Catalina is in GTA3, yes. She's the woman that betrays you and shoots you in the very beginning.

And no, the non-speaking guy isn't Vercetti, he's obviously Fido. The clothes, the hair, the fact he doesn't speak, the connection to Catalina and Liberty City, all of that.

Hey, BTW, has anyone finished dating the policewoman yet? I know it's been said that you keep your weapons when you're busted (along with when you're wasted, if you finish dating the Katie, the hospital worker). But, i also heard you get a police uniform if you finish dating the policewoman.

Would this outfit let you enter the army bases (that includes Area 69 and the Navy ship) without being shot at or gaining a wanted level, like it did in Vice City? Someone oughtta try it.

Hi guys. Im havirouble on that misson for Zero. The one where you have to shoot the rc planes before they destroy the transmiters. Any tips?

Look on the previous page.

Gamefaqs won't let you link directly to pages-- you HAVE to copy and paste them.

I hate to say it but his name is Claude, not Fido-- Catalina says it several times when she calls you-- Rockstar should have had her call him Fido too or left him nameless.....Claude is a lame name for him (my apologies to any Claudes that read this).

Ha! That means it's the same character from GTA2! The character in GTA2 was Claude Speed! If you look in the GTA2 manual on the back page it has credits for the GTA2 movies (it has a short movie at the start of the game) it says "Starring: Scott Maslen as Claude Speed".

I'm busy trying to takeover all the territories. There's one tiny Vagos territory in Los Santos that I can't take over. Either there's no Vagos there or when I kill 3 or 4 of them it won't start a gang war. As a result I have to put up those stupid "your territory is under attack!" messages. Has anyone had this experience?

KM.

Nope-- I took over my last vagos territory today (by the boat school--never saw that one)--

Which one is it-- the one around the hotel block on the N. side??

That was my toughest one to start and also they ran away and I had to leave the area to finish it.

I finally beat it today. 58.88%, 52 hours. The last mission was easy. I beat it first try. It was also very long.

I had that once (although it wasn't on the tiny Vagos territory). I finally did get a war started after killing maybe 15 gang members. Can't think of a reason why it shouldn't work. Maybe change the circumstance by leaving it alone for a while.

The second one is impossible. I hate that fuel thing

Try landing behind the targets and blasting them from on the ground. I failed it the first time I tried, but passed it easily by landing each time. Don't forget that you not only need to reach all the targets, but you also need to fly back.

There is a car I can not find anywhere in the game. Luckily it's not for import/export as I've completed that. I think it's a Phoenix...but I'm not sure.
In the mission when you have to kill the Drug Boss (Madd Dogg's mission) I think he is driving one. Also, in one of the races in San Fierro you race in one of these cars.
I have a pic of it from Vice City and it pretty much looks the same.
Anyway, I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas?
