Progress takes a long time. Years and years. Looking to do another show this fall and wanted to bring a fuller and wider package this time.

Looking big and properly hydrated, very noice. :D Any idea on how much body fat you have right now?

As for my lifting shenanigans, saw lots of people doing the viral 135lbs challenge for some reason so I tried it with 187. Super easy, could do 200lbs, probably 210, hardest part is a strict OHP. Did not want to push it with the stitches in my leg though.
Also did not do the biceps curl, no way I am doing explosive curls with freaking 190lbs+ :scared:

135lbs challenge:

Thanks man. I can still see my abs and obliques so guessing I’m around 12-14% BF at the moment. Going to push for one more growth phase and start cutting in July for a couple shows this fall. Will see how it all shakes out.

That 187 challenge looks intense man. Glad you didn’t try to curl that. I was having some PTSD thinking it. 😩😂

Then I wish you fun while bulking, that phase is so much fun, you eat and you lift heavy and - I know this is blasphemy for bodybuilders- the 15% BF range looks best-. ;)

The hardest I go with biceps is 200lbs rows for working sets. I had a tiny tear in my biceps tendon and that took months to heal and it took me like FOREVER to get it back to 100%. So annoying and scary. No way I get tempted to do max or near max anything involving biceps, not even rows. I mean you tore it and you did not even do something foolishly stupid.

Speaking about biceps, last year I tried Dr. Mikes exercise for better biceps gains and while I could even do the weight hes using in the videos with perfect form it gave me biceps tendonitis from hell after 2 weeks. Doesn't work for me at all.

He's on a pretty steep incline. I like incline dumb bell curls but set at just a slight incline at about 60-70 degrees. Any more incline than that and my upper bicep tendon and into my shoulders scream for mercy, not a good stretch for me.

That's really stupid and inviting a bursitis or tendonitis. The proper, optimal bicep curl is on a regular 45deg incline bench with your arms hanging straight down behind your torso. You just need to put your arms back enough to stretch the proximal tendon across the shoulder, and you do it with your hand maximally supinated to stretch the distal tendon. Hammer curl version works the brachioradialis

I've known about Bill DeSimone for probably like 15 years... just wish I would have been consistently doing these exercises for that long.

But, in other non-pity-party news, today was the first day that I got a tricep pump so huge that my shirt sleeves were actually stretching around my arms haha.
