God of War III disc will have a new Gran Turismo 5 trailer?

Even though the length of the video appears to be different from the lengths of previous videos it doesnt mean that its going to be a brand new trailer. It could just be a new trailer cut and remixed from old footage. PD have done this in the past.

Its also kind of odd bundling this video with a totally different genre of game, is there not another first party release with a racing vibe coming out any time soon which it could be better paired with?

Robin.

I think it makes sense. God of War III will sell like nobody's business, guaranteeing a huge audience in those that want to watch a trailer instead of playing a game.

It also makes perfect sense in light of the rumors that the release was held back because of GOW. The sales rationale behind this is sound - X percentage of consumers will only buy one or the other but with staggered release X becomes smaller. With that in mind advertising on GOW is a no brainer - "Hey guise, here's a look at your next purchase!"

Wow, some of you guys are nuts. Is GT5 really the only PS3 game you guys live for or what? Its actually kinda sad that some of you will only get God Of War III just for a damn trailer. Just to spite the living hell out of you guys, I hoping its locked and you actually are forced to beat the game just to see it. Then you'd have no choice but to actually play the game:D

And yes, I (most likely the only one here since apparently alot of people act like GT5 is god) love God of War. It started with the demo (much like Gran Turismo) and it never stopped.

I didn't say that. Who did?

I saw a post somewhere saying when they got God Of War III, they were just gonna watch the trailer and not the game(or something along those lines). That and I say this based on the fact that alot of users act as if nothing else but GT5 matters.

In that case then you completely misread my post, good sir. I said that I was VERY excited with this game (I really am) but that ironically, the first thing I'd do when I got it would not be play the game, but watch the trailer several times over an hour. And it's true, that is indeed what I intend to do (unless the trailer ends up sucking).

I still can't wait to play this game (well, I can... an hour :dopey:) and no, I'm not getting this game just for the trailer. That would just be stupid, considering the trailer will be online virtually everywhere within hours of the game's release.

whine:

Que?

Did I complain, did I then repeat it? What part of those videos suck is complaining?

"why does this commercial suck?" "why can't they make it better?" "why does the guy sound like a douche?" That's complaining.
"This commercial sucks!" Informative, opinionated statement.

?
It's the same thing. You're never happy about anything:dunce:
stupidity does irritate me, so please, keep quite.

Precisely. There's no doubt that GoWIII will be an epic cinematic experience, I just hope it feels a bit more solid than the demo.

And, Dave, my point was illustrating my complete lack of understanding of your point, what with the cheese, and the "find out what whine means" thing you came out with.
And I never said you repeated anything. :sly:

Great work, by the way.

Dear GT5^H^H^HGod,
Please give me the strength to SCROLL PAST lame comments, and forgive the trolls.

Then I apoligize for my missreading. I've seen so many comments clearly showing how people have gone mad, I was under the impression your post was another example. Its just depressing to me how desperate people have gotten here. They should be grateful they get any info on GT while Namco has left us Ace Combat fans pretty much further in the dark about future AC titles.

Well I've got GoWIII and the first thing I did was look for the GT5 trailer :)

However I can't find the damn thing. There is a 'Treasures' option in the main menu. From there you select 'Video' and then all that shows is 'The Making of God of War III'.

Essentially this could mean one of three things. It could mean:
- I don't have the very final retail version of God of War III
- there is no GT5 trailer in God of War III
- it needs to be unlocked

If anyone knows please tell.

Finish the game ASAP, find out and tell us! :P

How did you get your copy? Did the store break the release date, maybe you work in the industry?

lol@ this trailer being a secret. That is no way to advertise a game. The trailer will probably be low in quality (won't offer much new stuff). At least that's how I perceive it.

Sony, you ****ing noob.

I know someone who works in the industry.

I bought the God of War Collection this week and was playing through God of War when he walked in with it...essentially I wanted to have a quick peek and take a ganders at the GT5 trailer but it's not there.

I hope someone can clarify the situation.

I suppose those of us with zero interest in a silly monster-fighting game will have to be content with a later posting of the trailer to the PSN - that is, after its amateur-video release to YouTube.

Some people seem to be getting copies of this game quite early so hopefully the trailer will be up this weekend sometime.

Hard to expect a lot in a trailer that's in a game that not every GT fan will get. Makes little sense. Sony, come on, you can do better! Put it on PSN!
