Good Examples of Miniature Filter Photos?

Need to get on Eiger and do some Miniatures. Looks like the perfect spot so far, well HSR is decent in the one bridge area.

It seems like the pictures with large buildings in the background seem to be a bad choice for this miniature effect, their too distracting. Landscape like grass, hills and small buildings seem to suit it well.

You need to go for a DIORAMA effect, if you don't know the word, search it on google. Some inhere did really good, like some others pinpointed.

I wouldn't use this as an example simple because the objects in those pics are small. Tilt shift is taking pictures of regularly sized objects in a matter that makes them appear miniature. Essential, its a camara trick.

Here are some better examples:

Protip: You won't truley get the effect actually focusing on the car.

I'm not too fond on the tilt-shift on GT5, i feel it has too much blur in my scenarios. Thats just my opinion though

You aren't fond of the Minature Filter because you are not susing it right. The filter was never meant to be used as a general bokeh filter to add more blur. Point taken is that the whole effect is to make the image look like its tiny. By placing your object very close up you get alot of blur and not alot of good picture. For a starter try starting a race in Eiger, take the back car and stop for photomode and peer over all the cars in front from the harpins and play with the minature filter, that will show you how to use it.

The miniature effect using a tilt shift lens is achieved by taking pictures from a high vantage point, using a wide field of view, and usually low aperture.

Taking a low shot won't give you the miniature look. Zooming in to one single object won't give you a miniature look. The best is to stand way back, widen that lens, drop the aperture to f8 or f11, and include as many subjects as you can on the shot. The aperture at f8-f11 will make sure all of the items on the focus band are actually on focus, giving a greater miniature perspective.

This is a great miniature effect shot.

This one is not. It's not a bad shot, it's just not a miniature shot.
