On topic, The best Google logo was the in the early 2000's in my opinion but this is partly down to nostalgia.

The change doesn't bother me as most the of the time it changes annually or in celebration of an a anniversary in some sorts.

I remember when our school switched from using Alta Vista to Google and this was the page we saw nearly everyday, ahh the nostalgia.

Better times...

I'm not using any launcher. I'm using a custom ROM.
If you're running the default launcher on CyanogenMod, you'll be running the Trebuchet launcher. I don't know if it's possible to change the search bar on that launcher though, I've barely used it.

Probably many millions! :ouch:

Reminds me of the lovey 2012 Olympics logo which cost £400,000!

What people didn't realise about the 2012 logo was that fee also included all the branding for the event (and for the Paralympics). Wolff Olins isn't just a graphics firm that you ask to knock out a logo in illustrator, they shaped the way the whole event looked. It worked really well when I saw a few events in 2012, I especially liked how flexible the logo was for each event, for example the tennis logo and branding was all done in the classic Wimbledon green and purple.

As for Google's new logo, I like it. Unlike many sans serif logotypes it avoids feeling sterile and corporate, which preserves the fun, colourful, "don't be evil" image that Google is known for portraying.
